Tandoori Hut — Restaurant in New York

NEVER AGAIN AND EATING HERE MAY KILL YOU!!!

Ordered my order on GrubHub at 9p. 1 minutes after the order, they called to say what I ordered (the chicken curry) was unavailable and they were bringing me Chicken Marsala instead. What?! I had never had that before and was skeptical, but I'm like ok whatever. STRIKE ONE!

Delivery was told to take 40-45 minutes for delivery. Know what time my food came?? 11:05 pm! 2 hours after delivery! In between this time, I called the restaurant twice to inquire about the status of the delivery. On the 2nd call, the guy says "here's the driver's number. Call him". Seriously??!! HOW IS THAT MY JOB?! STRIKE 2 & 3!!

Ok, I call the driver. I hear 2 different guys speaking into the phone giving me two different delivery times. One guy is saying less than 10 minutes, another one is saying 10-15. I say "Which one is it?! 10 or 10 to 15?" They reply "Ok, 10-15". STRIKE 4!

30 minutes and another phone call to the driver later, and SURPRISE! My food is here. No tip to the driver of course because now I'm pissed.

STRIKE 5 and the cherry on top......halfway through the meal I find a piece of a metal serving tong in my food.....DID YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY???!! YES! There was a metal piece of tong in my food and the pictures are posted as proof.

I use to love this place and have eaten here many times before....but I WOULD NEVER EAT OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN AND I PLAN TO TAKE THESE PICTURES TO THE DEPT. OF HEALTH AND HAVE THIS...

I ordered a large tray of chiken tikka masala from them for a party that started at 6. They said they will deliver it by 4:30. It was 6pm and my food still hadn't arrived. I called the restaurant and they said the driver had some other deliveries to do first. So guests were at the party eating puri with no curry. The driver then called me and said he was in my backyard and come outside to pay him. A party was going on and I was outside but the driver was not in my backyard. I asked him to repeat the address and tell him he is at the wrong address and he told me no he's correct. I even texted him my address and he refused to believe he was at the wrong place. I finally walked him through how to get to my house and he showed up angry at me and asked why I gave him the wrong address. Mind you the address he had and the address I texted him were all the same. Overall I won't be using them again. The food is good but the service and delivery sucks. I can't have guests hungry at a party bc they choose to deliver whenever they want and I do not deserve to be yelled at for a driver's mistake in not reading the directions and street...
