We ordered a cake that was supposed to have no eggs, dairy or nuts. They said no problem and made the cake for our 1 year old.
The cake was ready and we picked it up. As we were picking it up, we reminded them and said, âThis cake does not have eggs, dairy, or nuts, correctâ? And they said yes, it doesnât have any of those ingredients. We reminded them that our daughter has a severe allergy and these ingredients cannot be in the cake.
We took the cake and our daughter began playing with the cake for a photo shoot.
She started to itch all over her body, and we realized our 1 year old broke out in hives all over her body.
There was obviously milk and eggs used within the cake. We were fortunate enough that she did not ingest the cake. We immediately gave her allergy medication and brought her to the hospital.
If you have allergies of any kind, I would stay far away from this bakery, as they do not follow basic instructions.
We had to leave a photo shoot that we paid $500 for and drive her straight to the hospital. If she swallowed any of it, this would be an entirely different conversation. The owners should be ashamed...
Read moreCame in here and felt like I was in an âItalian Pastry Heaven!â This place is amazing because the whole place from front to back is all pastries and cakes and all other Italian delicacies you can think of, literally! Not only is this place amazing, the treats are just as irresistibly good as their store name claims it âtasty!â You canât help but walk pass their door and smell all those delicious bake goods; they are just that inviting! I had their prosciutto stuffed roll/bread and I canât tell you how good it tastes. There are chunks of prosciutto for every bite and you can taste the saltiness of the meat and the sweetness of the bread combined. Itâs best if you eat them hot, because it taste better when you taste the natural juice from the prosciutto. After that you might want to grab yourself some sweets, since there are so many to choose from; makes you feel like a kid all over again, just looking through the counter choosing each and everyone you can think of. Now I know where I can buy the next birthday cake for...
Read moreMy friend and I came here about 15 minutes before closing. A sign on the door said only 6 people allowed in at a time- there were more than 12 people inside so we queued up outside. After a few minutes someone came outside and told us if we wanted anything we should go in now because they were closing "in a few minutes" (it was still more than 10 minutes till closing). We went in and ordered hot chocolate and before we could even finish the words the person at the counter interrupted and dismissively said "I'm not doing anymore hot chocolate- we're closing in a few minutes." We walked out at 10 minutes until closing. It's not like they do some kind of fancy drinking chocolate or anything- it's just super basic hot chocolate, and if you're going to refuse to do it during business hours at least have the courtesy to not be rude about it- it's not like we were asking for anything crazy that was going to take past closing. Go elsewhere for your hot chocolate and pastry needs- this place doesn't deserve...
