New eatery that comforts the soul and belly on a cold day. Food to go but you may not want to leave because the space is warm and friendly.
I brought my friend for a late lunch on Friday. We loved the beautifully designed Shoppe with warm colors. We loved the music from all continents. It was pleasant to hear some people chatting and laughing and see others quietly consuming. Manager and server were friendly, accommodating, and efficient.
I loved the subtle texture of chocho (chayote) in the pumpkin soup. A little picante teased my palate to “taste-that-again!” until there was no more soup in my bowl. My friend loved the stick-to-your-bones porridge that blends many grains, including quinoa, with spices and coconut. We shared a Damn boy wrap - finger-sucking delicious with crisp fried oyster mushrooms, fresh greens and a juicy, warm dressing. I didn’t know you could do that with mushrooms. Truly magical. The portions are sufficient to satisfy a very hungry person. For me, it was more than adequate to share a Damn boy! All was very reasonably priced.
Highly recommended by someone who eats only fresh, organic food and appreciates...
