Disappointing Experience with Disrespectful Employee at Tres Leches Cafe Uptown Manhattan
I recently visited Tres Leches Cafe in Uptown Manhattan and wanted to share my experience. While the older lady who attended to us was wonderful, I encountered an unpleasant situation with another younger employee that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Upon entering the cafe, my wife and I noticed a customer waiting for assistance while a young employee on the picture, was engaged in a casual conversation with a technician. We patiently waited for nearly 10 minutes, hoping the employee would acknowledge the waiting customer and provide the necessary assistance. Unfortunately, the young employee ignored the customer completely, displaying a lack of professionalism and disregard for other people's time.
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the situation, I politely approached the young employee and informed her that there was a customer who had been waiting for quite some time. To my surprise, her response was incredibly disrespectful and she showed no regard for the customer's time or the importance of providing quality customer service. She bluntly stated that she would not assist the customer until she finished her conversation.
It is disheartening to encounter such behavior from an employee working in a front desk position. While I appreciate the products offered by Tres Leches Cafe, which is the best on New York in my opinion, it is evident that the owners need to hire individuals with better interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. Employees with such a nasty attitude should be placed in roles that do not directly involve customer interactions.
I hope that Tres Leches Cafe takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly. By ensuring that their front desk staff are respectful, attentive, and customer-oriented, they can enhance the overall experience for their patrons and maintain the positive reputation of their business.
To conclude, I would like to add that the product is 5 start but when it comes with great customer service...
Read moreTres Leches Cafe in Harlem is a delightful spot that never fails to impress with its delicious offerings. The cakes are simply divine, and the service is always commendable. The staff, particularly the two friendly and accommodating ladies who have assisted me, make every visit enjoyable. This is my third order from them, and I've never been disappointed.
My favorites include the passion fruit tres leches and the classic version, but the guava and Hershey options are also quite enjoyable. Conveniently located near the 6 train, I once ordered the Cuatro Leches Cake along with a bottle of water to meet the $5 credit card minimum. It was one of the most memorable slices I've ever tasted—perfectly moist with a sweet yet balanced flavor.
The Cuatro Leches Cake is a standout, reminiscent of a well-made flan, and not overly sweet. It was a hit at the Senior Awards Dinner I hosted in June, with everyone raving about it. I can't wait to try their Tres Leches Cake next. Whether for a birthday or any special occasion, this cake is a must-have. The price is reasonable, making it an excellent choice for dessert delivery or a quick...
Read moreI have an obsession with tres leches and was in the mood for it yesterday. So I googled best tres leches and this cafe came up. Due to the ratings, I was very interested and it was also in close proximity to my job, so why not !. It’s a small store but very clean. The cashier was very friendly. It was apparent that they take pride in this family owned business and the products they produce. I purchased a flan and two tres leches. It is hands down the best I’ve ever had, I took some home for my relatives to try and they raved about it. I don’t know how to explain it but the cake melts in your mouth. Not overly sweet, just right !!!. If this place continues to produce these cakes, they have found a customer in me for life !!! If your a fan of tres leches and fan, please do yourself a favor and head down there. You will not be disappointed....
