At Hajji's, the heart of the neighborhood beats strong, and it's not just because of their legendary Chopped Cheese--it's the sense of community and family that makes this place truly special.

As the home of the ORIGINAL Chopped Cheese, Hajji's has become a beloved institution in the neighborhood, with locals and visitors alike flocking to its doors for a taste of authenticity. But it's not just about the food--it's about the connection to the community and the warm welcome you receive from the moment you step inside.

Of course, let's talk about the Chopped Cheese. It's more than just a sandwich--it's a culinary masterpiece that combines the perfect blend of flavors and textures. With its juicy beef, gooey melted cheese, and fresh veggies all nestled between two slices of toasted bread, it's a true taste sensation that leaves you craving more with every bite.

And let's not forget about the Philly Cheese Steak--an equally indulgent delight that pays homage to the flavors of Philadelphia. Tender slices of beef, sautéed onions, and melted cheese all come together in perfect harmony, creating a sandwich that's as satisfying as it is delicious.

But Hajji's isn't just about the classics--they also excel at coldcut sandwiches that are out of this world. From the savory slices of ham and turkey to the tangy kick of their signature sauces, each bite is a symphony of flavor that leaves you wanting more.

And for those looking for a taste of nostalgia, Hajji's is one of the few places where you can find a Coco Rico soda--a beloved beverage that transports you back to simpler times with its refreshing sweetness.

In conclusion, Hajji's is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat--it's a gathering place for the community, a home away from home where everyone is welcome and treated like family. So whether you're craving a Chopped Cheese, a Philly Cheese Steak, or just a friendly smile and a cold soda, Hajji's has got...

Hands down the best sandwich ever! If sandwiches were a person, this would be MY PERSON! This would be my partner. My husband. The love of my life. And a hero for Six bux? What a deal man. An unbelievably unbeatable deal. What more can I say? I'm ready to puuch myself in the face that I have been to harlem so many times but waited till yesterday to have this perfect sandwich ever created on earth! So perfect that I drove from Bayside to Harlem TWICE on a Sunday, yup, you're reading this correctly, TWICE within a Ten hour window, on a Sunday ( don't believe me, check my check-ins), to have it again! Had this for Brunch, and late dinner. The bread is perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The meat is perfectly seasoned, and the onions, nice and caramelized. The cheese all melted and delicious, it's perfection! The guys at the deli are also super nice. If you're new, they will talk you thru the whole order, even though they're super busy. I do suggest calling ahead, as they are super busy and this way you won't have to wait in line. Now I will follow this up with the reactions of my husband when he had this sandwich. (What a sandwich. What a god damn sandwich. That's a life changing sandwich, like it will literally change your life. Like I'm sickly full (after eating a regular and double chopped cheese) but I want to keep eating it till I explode. I feel like such a fat loser. This is how I feel after an amazing rock show. That's how I feel rightnow, I'm in awe of this amazing sandwich I just ate. I don't even care if I don't sleep tonight, it was worth it). We got ours without tomatoes. We also prefer the double chopped cheese over the original. Either way, you can't go wrong. Get an Arizona with in! It's a perfect pairing. There you have it folks. Go, why are you still reading this? Get yourself this...

Blue Sky Deli will always be "Hajji's" to me and it's also the birthplace of the "chopped cheese" sandwich. the convenience store has your typical elements: a deli / grill, candy and snack foods, refrigerated drinks, some household items and more. the interior is clean and fairly organized. order your sando at the cashier, pay, and wait for some deliciousness.

an endless variety of hot or cold sandwiches are served here, here. however enjoying a chopped cheese is a must. for those who don’t know, a “chopped cheese” is basically New York City’s version of the Philly Cheese Steak except the meat is season hamburger patties. order it with “everything” on a hero roll as all chopped cheeses should be enjoyed (“everything is grilled onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, and mayo). the quality of the bread is the difference maker as it tastes nice and fresh on the inside and toasted on the outside. the sandwich really is like no other as all those flavors combine into a savory mess of delicious calories. the sandwich is hefty and is easily shareable between two or feeds one hungry person. $7 + tip for the chopped cheese on a hero. depending on how many grill sandwiches are ahead of you order, a chopped cheese take a little bit of time...
