Verse — Restaurant in New York

First time trying out this cafe and was very pleased by the relaxing and lovely atmosphere of the cafe. The music was not too loud and obnoxious, just enough to give some background ambience and allow me to focus. I like that they have tables with outlets and counter seating.

Not everything on their pastry menu was available in the display, but they had a decent selection. The chocolate banana bread was moist and their strawberry matcha latte came unsweetened so that you could add sweetener by yourself to your liking, which I liked. +1 for compostable straws too.

Since I intended to stay there for another couple hours to work, I ended up getting their iced honey osmanthus latte. They accidentally gave me a hot version, but before I could say anything, they immediately came to me apologizing for the mixup. Not only did they allow me to keep the hot drink, they also quickly remade the cold one, AND even offered me a discount on my next purchase. I am impressed by their professionalism and service, not to mention their drinks were delicious. :) Definitely coming...

And I can't recommend the apple cheddar biscuit enough. it's a fantastic combination of savory and subtly sweet, with a wonderfully flaky texture. Really great cafe on Astoria Blvd! I went on Friday afternoon and it was PACKED. I can see why it’s a popular spot. Nice seating, wifi, great drinks and food. The price is worth it. I got the Strawberry Matcha and Egg Sandwich and they were small but delicious!

Other reviewers said they only have food Fri-Sun so I tried my chances on a Friday and was glad to see the menu. I wish they had food on other days of the week though.
