Vice Lounge — Restaurant in New York

2 out of 5 stars for this place because me and my family were definitely discriminated here it was about 8-9 of us who went we were here for about 30 minutes ordered drinks hookah food and shots and was planning to order more shots , half of the group decided to go outside for a smoke break and the other half of us stayed in BRITT our server ( I believe that’s her name she’s short with glasses ) decided to bring us the bill we were confused as to why because we never said we were ready for the bill we asked her why she said after the bill reaches $500 they have to close out ( which was never even explained to us before we ordered ) and we have to open another tab which makes no sense because why would we pay gratuity twice on top of it im a server myself my job has never done this we actually want customers to stay and keep ordering on one tab , that’s more money for us , I was here the week before and our bill was higher and they never made us close out ! That’s how I knew the server was lying they just thought we were going to walk out on the bill because half of the group went for a smoke break but at the beginning they asked for a credit card and I’d to match so why would we leave on top of it half of the group stayed inside ! I asked to speak to a manager she pointed me to another young lady I explained to her my problem and she said she wasn’t the manager and pointed me in the direction of a older guy I went to him and explained my problem and he was no help at all all he said was he’s not the owner and doesn’t make the rules so I basically got the run around . I’m upset because we were planning to stay for a while and order more drinks the food was okay only thing that was good was mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings the drinks were good and strong the hookah was not made properly the first time we had to call the guy back to fix it , we were definitely discriminated and I don’t appreciate that I will not...

Hey guys my name is RiRi and I am the co owner of an up and coming lounge in lower Manhattan and I had to check this place out .

My biggest complain is the security and management ! On the walk in they were RUDE RUDE RUDE . Shouldn’t greet people who’s those faces . My dude friend was haunted down for a $20 entrance fee ( that doesn’t not come with a free drink ) which isn’t bad but for a small place like Vice the price should be lowered down . Now for what you really want to know ……. Food 3/10 I only suggest the wings Service 9/10 I went on a Saturday and the waitresses were amazing the Caribbean girl with the dreads was our main server she was very nice and outgoing and kept coming with those $5 house shots but although she was our server the other girl the Spanish one with the glasses still made sure we were okay and was very nice when I told her how I hated the popcorn shrimp . I was a pinch of salt away from giving them my information to come work for me , I had to tip well! those girls were working hard but they had fun with the customers as well 10/10 for the girls .

Hookah 8/10 it was outstanding big smoke and the sheesha didn’t burn fast but it took very long to come out and the hookah guy told me they don’t do free coal change !

Drinks 8/10 if you want to get drunk on a budget go to Vice lounge those drinks are very affordable and will have you off your heals . And they have $5 shots all night .

Music 9/10 they had a live DJ he played music for all. And as we repeated fridays and Saturdays he’s there .

Interior 5/10 you can tell who ever tried to design it put there all into it but they didn’t consider the space . The tables were all over eachother they definitely need to remodel and put smaller high metal tables in there .

Side note : They are a cash only establishment which is inconvenient! What if I want to use my credit card ? But over all I had a great night Thankyou...

I REALLLLLLLLLY wanted to love this place! i really did :( From the cute décor to the food, i really just wanted to love it.

However, it has turned into a loud, obnoxious ghetto place. The people that come into this cute little spot seem like rejects that aren't let into the usual spots around the area so they are now flocking to this place that was once a hidden gem.

I remember when this place first opened around my block ... I was actually super excited to come to a place where you are not treated like a walking wallet. I thought that i had finally found "the spot" until these past few months... not sure if the owner changed or whatever it may be, but save your money and your Tylenol from the headache this place will give you. I honestly felt like i walked into the middle of Compton with all the ghettoness and not to mention the terrible Dj and sloppy servers.

i will not be returning to Vice until things hopefully calm down in there... 2 stars for the food, decor and the nice man who made me hookah a few times.
