Willie's Steak House — Restaurant in New York

This place is a disgrace to spanish style food. Me and my wife just finished eating from this disaterious establishment. Firstly all the items on their menu are $2-$5 above the average of most places i've visited and as a male of 305lbs i would like to think i know a few things about eating. A large amount of my spending goes on dining out. I ordered spanish style steak with onions and rice and beans something every 90 year old spanish women can make half dead and asleep... well willie's steak house must employ actual dead people. The steak had no flavor it tasted like something someone would get at a hospital. Not one grain of salt or adobo and sazon touched this steak. The steak was also grey not dark on the edges no cooking. It tasted boiled something they would serve in an old folks home or something on death row would have more flavor. The onions had no caramelization to them at ALL! The steak and onions were obviously cooked separate which baffles me to all hell. My rice was bland with no salt no flavor at all. My beans had no onions no pepper no salt no adobo no sazon no garlic NOTHING. My beans tasted like they were just out the can with a little flour to thicken the sauce..... The steak onions rice and beans was a complete miss. My pork mofongo came with no skin no had RINDS no meat mixed into the plantains at all! Instead they bashed a big hole at the top of my plantains and filled it with what i can only call pork soup. That's right i got served mashed baby food style mofongo with pork soup it was disgusting as all hell!

My wife ordered stuffed plantains which were edible and had flavor. This was the only half passable item ordered.

The person who took our orders completely forgot my wifes chicken fettuccine alfredo. This turned out to be a blessing because we were ready to run out of this place. This idiotic mistake ended up saving us some money in the end of this whole ordeal.

Also my wife ordered the "Seafood ceviche" oh yeah this was nothing more than PICO DE GALLO! with some sort of unidentifiable white meat substance i can only assume was fish product and not any actual fish....basically no shrimps! no clams! no crab! no nothing from the sea!

i had two coronas my wife had a jack and coke.

The bill was $88.00 and a lesson learned. We will never be going back to willies so called steak house. This place is a horrible waste of money. I would rather go to Caridad and spend $30 and get 3X the amount of food and...

I feel awful giving only 1 star, it's been a few yrs since I've gone there however I used to go there alot with my coworkers after work, we would eat, drink, listen to music, laugh and have a great time. I love to leave a restaurant happy well unfortunately that was not the case this past Sunday. My husband and I had been talking n remembering the good food so we decided to take the family for Mother's day on 5/18 and From the moment I walked into the empty quiet restaurant I had a bad feeling but walked in anyway. It was empty n no music, I ordered a virgin Pina colada that was watery n not sweet, I ordered a Spanish steak w/mushrooms in brown sauce n a baked potato, n salad like I did in the past, my steak was COLD N MY POTATOE WAS SCORCHED N HOT n THE SALAD WAS WILTED, the dressing was pink n tasted horrible! My mother ordered Mongu w/Shrimp and they came back with Fettuccine Alfredo instead, by the time they came back with my mother's original order she was upset then she said it wasn't good IT HAD NO TASTE (no seasoning). I had to send my steak back so my brother went and stood by the kitchen doors and he saw the cook take my steak n put it in a MICROWAVE! I can go on but I'm sure you get the picture. I spoke to the manager and she didn't charge my meal bc I didn't eat it, We left Willies SAD, never again. I gave it 1 star bc our waitress really did try to make the awful experience better but other then that it was a terrible mother's day dinner. Thanks Willies Steak house for ruining our...

Well.. as it was my first and last dinning experience here I will say my Churasco Steak was tasty.. However, sitting at the bar for my meal was perhaps my first mistake.. I asked for a glass of Cabernet but was served a Burgandy instead, the sever said it was better.. I drank it.. it was ok but not what I wanted.. my food came.. my sever busied herself with conversation in between tending other customers.. then it happened.. as she walked past me she smiled and took from my plate one of the eadible garnishes with her bare hands.. granted I was not going to eat it in any event.. she take food from my plate and ate it herself... WTF!! Shocking as it was.. I continued with my meal.. the steak was good.. I asked for a cabernet.. she insisted on the burgundy.. I insisted on the cab.. I got it.. tasted it .. it was terrible.. I sent it back and the sever refused to take it back.. she said I tasted it and it could not be taken back... WTF AGAIN! I did not drink it.. finished my meal asked for my check.. the Cab was not removed.. can you believe it.. no matter what I said it was not removed even though I said it was no good.. and I would not drink it..terrible experience.. paid the check.. my only recourse was no gratuity.. BTW when she cleared my plate there wad a small bit of steak left.. she asked if I wanted to take it with me.. when I said no.. she took it off the plate and popped it into her mouth..WTF! I WILL...
