Windy City Ale House — Restaurant in New York

First time I walk in the entire vibe is second living-room in nearly every aspect. This place is truly a family friendly good ole fashioned Chicago style joint! Beer n shot spot that's got a freaking really tasty menu to boot 😁. I'm sure they'll make frilly drinks if asked. I'm just not that guy.

Haven't met the rest of the crew cuz I just didn't have time to stay as long as I would've liked. Younger Steven shared interesting and engaging conversation and a perfectly poured pint of mermaid.

Just the right spot to swing by and waste a Sunday in the nicest ways! Can't believe I worked up the block and live less than 15 minutes away and only now found this true jem of a place to just chill or get silly. Ghost busters pinball?? Back yard?? Darts?? What more could ya need?! Needless to say, though I will anyways, I will go back over n over n...

Inattentive bar tender, I couldn't tell if he was more interested in doing his job or gambling with his friends at the other end of the bar. Apparently, his dice game was more important than service.

I had Goose Island IPA and it was far from cold. However, I'm not sure if it was coming out of the tap warm or it was the heated glass he put it in, but it was not refreshing in the least.

The chicken wings, while on special, were not good. They were dry/over-cooked and the skin was not crisp at all. I'm fairly certain they were par boiled. There was only 7 people in the bar and we were the only ones eating, so I don't see why par boiling would be necessary.

All-in-all a bad experience and I doubt...

The owners are two brothers with the best in their hearts for all their customers. I used to go to there after work a lot, but i changed jobs and it didn't fit my schedule as well anymore.

I was so happy to see them on uber eats, even though uber gave me some trouble with their delivery person. Steve acted as an advocate for me with uber and not only did my food arrive, which did require me to re order. But he gave me both orders while making sure uber only charged me one time.

I don't know if these guys remember me, but i remember them and I will definetly be going in person again in the near future!
