I had some free time on a Monday evening and did a walk in. I let them know it is my first time and was guided along with what I was asking for. I got a hybrid set and I promptly seated.
The salon is clean, it was very warm when I came in but as I settled, I got comfortable.
My technician was Fiona. She was accommodating and I was happy until she carried on in conversation while tending to my lashes. For 90% of the service I had her in my ear speaking in her respective language. This should be a relaxing experience and I would presume you as the technician would want to be focused and create a comfortable environment for your client so they will want to return. She briefly showed me the progress so I could get an idea of what it would look like. I had a bit of stinging in my eyes but I liked it so far. However, when she finished my left eye, I was not shown the final result. I mentioned I wanted to see and was told "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah". That was a very condescending response which I did not appreciate but I had one eye done, so I might as well finish. Anyway, conversation carried on between workers and I endured. Then at some point, some of my hair was in the way and I had about three or four hairs plucked from my head.
The end result was great! And NO burning! I was given aftercare instructions and other service/pricing information.
I will wait two weeks to see about returning.
If I can give a word of advice. PLEASE be mindful of speaking aloud right next to your clients ear while providing services on their person, unless you are engaging with them. This is a paid service, not a favor. That is rude and...
Read moreI've been doing my lashes for years now, but decided to try out Magic Lash because the location was convenient for me. The first time I came here my lash tech removed some lashes I had left from my previous lash tech. The smell of the lash removal cream was very strong and burned my eyes. The lash tech was nice enough to guide me to the sink so I washed my eyes with cold water to stop my eyes from the burning sensation. But once my lashes were done, they looked nice - Not exactly what I was looking for but still nice. They didn’t last for long and started to fall out after just a few days. I still went back a second time and tried this place again. The second time was different, the girl at the register was very nice and helped me get what I wanted. However, this time I had a different lash tech and she used the same lash removal that smelled very bad. Once my lashes were done, my eyes were burning again nonstop. At first, I thought it was because my eyes were sensitive so my lash tech gave me a fan and put some drops in my eye. I felt a little better so I went home. Fast forward, it’s been 7 hours and my eyes are still burning, watery, and irritated. I don’t know what else to do. And I know for a fact that my lashes will fall off after all the nonstop tears in my eyes. Besides having this experience, I must say the place is very clean and the girl at the register along with the lash techs...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE FOR A LASH LIFT. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I went here last week, I told the girl I want a lash lift with extra curl. It was a smoothing experience. However, the quality was horrendous. They asked me repeatedly if this was my first time, and I told them no. When she finished, I knew immediately something was wrong. I felt my lashes. My lashes were on my EYELID. On top of that, they do NOT wash their hands often. She washed them the first time, then she went and blew her nose, did not hear her wash her hands. My eyelashes were plastered to my lids. I thought maybe it would go down with some time, nope. The next day, I came back and told them my lashes were on my eyelid. They were all giggling. I told her to give me extra curl and not to plaster my eyelashes to my eyelids! She tried to fix it 🙄 and it didn't change. I paid 90 for this ridiculous joke of a job, and I would suggest you don't waste your money here for a lash lift. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. I should have received a refund. It has been 5 days already, and they are STILL plastered to my eyelids.
Update- it's been now 11 days and my eyelashes are still plastered to my eyelids. Now they are slowly falling out. If you love your eyelashes, DO...
