Hollywood HY Nail Spa — Local services in New York

I came in here for a mani/pedi, because I've gotten cards from this salon in my mailbox and thought it looked like a good deal. When I got in, a man started my manicure then asked me to wait in the pedicure chair. When he asked which service I would like I asked, "Your sign out front says the pedicure includes free paraffin, can I do that?" He said said yes, then asked which scent I would like and pointed to a list, I said I wanted lavender.

A different technician started my pedicure, and I noticed that she was doing a lot of massage and lotions for a regular pedicure. I asked if it was all included and she said yes. When she rang me up, of course, my $25 service was almost $50. The first guy had apparently told her that I was getting the "lavender deluxe spa pedicure" so that is why she told me everything she was doing was included. She called him over and he tried to tell me that I asked for that service, which I absolutely did not.

At that point, they were disagreeing with each other and it was obvious that this situation was not the woman's fault at all. I didn't want to continue to argue or put anyone in a bad position since the technician had done the service after all, so I just said fine I'll pay the $50. I used to go to this salon in the past but since it’s over 40 mins away it isn’t the most convenient for me to go to however everytime I come my nails always look absolutely amazing, I used to come for David and would come every two weeks religiously then I stopped doing my nails for a while for a break. I recently started coming back however david isn’t there because he’s ill, Amy does my nails and they look amazing I do gel and could go a month without doing them! I come here every two weeks even with the distance this is by far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to and Will recommend to everyone I live in Jersey but work in the City so I’m usually able to stop by after work, I’ve called them to ask if I can come in at 8:30 when they close at 8 and they always tell me yes if I need that late appointment, the pedicures are to die for...

This salon truly feels like home to us everytime we step into here. My family and I been coming here constantly, and every visit just reminds me why we never go anywhere else. The owner and her team treat us like family — warm, welcoming, and always so caring. Their creativity always amazes me, whether it’s a simple classic set or something more unique. And the best part? If something ever breaks or chips, they fix it right away without hesitation, making sure we leave happy every time. I think they always make things better than the inspo.
