Since it was my first time using this store, I was given an explanation, but at no point was I informed that there was a time limit. However, suddenly the bill was brought to us, and we were told to leave because the next customers had been waiting for 30 minutes. Even though there was still plenty of food on our table and we were in the middle of eating, we were told to leave immediately.

Although we paid the bill, when we continued eating, we were again told—this time more firmly—to leave due to the time limit. When I said we hadn’t finished eating yet, we were told that we could move to the bar area if we needed more time. However, we were also told we couldn’t eat there. I don’t understand why such a suggestion was made if eating there wasn’t allowed.

If there is a time limit, it should be clearly explained at the beginning. And if the time is running out, we should have been given a warning at least 30 minutes in advance.

Also, while I had just stepped away to use the restroom and my belongings were still on the table, the staff started clearing away our food without asking.

This entire experience was extremely unpleasant, and I honestly feel like I deserve a refund.

To make matters worse, there were still several empty tables available at the time, so it was unclear why we were rushed out so urgently.

Due to the poor service, I will never be returning.

Also, the food at the fried food station had clearly been leaving out too long and didn’t...

The majority of my reviews are 5 star reviews. If I'm giving a 1 star review, you've really ticked me off. I'm pretty easy to please at restaurants and generally very grateful for good service and good food. If I'm not happy with the food I just won't write a bad review as I value small businesses and the last thing I want to do is hurt their business.

I was really in the mood to eat here today. I walked in and the wonderful hostess told me to wait a moment before she seated me. I then told the hostess that I was going to use the restroom before being seated. I've come here multiple times and have always had a great meal. As I was walking in I asked one of the staff members where the bathroom was and he rudely explained to me that restrooms are for customers only. I was confused and taken back by the tone of the staff as I was just about to get seated anyways. I was dressed in business casual not a bum off the street, not that that should matter. I feel like I lost out on this one as I was really in the mood to eat there today but I walked out on principle because of how rude that man was. I don't even think that staff member comprehended what he did wrong. And in case management reads this he was the older gentleman maybe a manager?

I am now uncomfortable coming back here from this point on which is a shame. I love the topokki from here. Please train your staff and or have better communication between...

This is the closest you can get to AUTHENTIC KOREAN TOPOKKI in nyc unless your mom is korean. Ktown should be based around this shop, you know it's real when all the people working there are korean and has a ramen cooker.

I am very picky when it comes to Korean food, I rate other korean shops around nyc 2 stars easy. This places is 5 stars for sure.

You have to make your own dish, so ask the waiter for precise details before cooking to get the best results. Personally, you should add sweet potato rice cakes and carrots and onions for the best dish. After the last dish, boil the sauce to a creamy state and add fried rice, then stir for a bit to have the real last dish, Bokkeum-bap. Ask the waiter to do it for you if you don't know how. (Ask youngoo, he was our waiter and was so nice

For people who are not korean, the sauce may be a little spicy, ask your waiter for a milder sauce. The broth for the fish cakes are so rich, and all the other dishes are good too.

The waiters here are so nice and kind, the food here is the best in nyc so far.

I kind of want to gatekeep, this places is so nice. But at the same time I wish this places would blow up and get the recognization it deserves, getting good Korean food in the US is so hard these days, all of the places are 'korean' but few are a good represenration...
