$19 for a large cheese pizza? $14 for a chicken parm entree with pasta side?? I haven’t seen prices like these in a long time.
Family-run, no-frills joint for solid Italian American food. You won’t see a fully-stocked pizza counter with premade specialty pies. There is a fresh cheese pie that you can get slices from and add whatever toppings you want. Or, they will make whatever you want fresh in about 15-20mins.
Got a large pie that was half cheese, half pepperoni plus a large chicken roll (seriously, size of two typical rolls) with sauce on side for $31. The chicken roll surprisingly had ricotta cheese inside, which was a great addition. Made it taste like a calzone or a baked ziti - highly recommend. The pizza was solid, sauce was on the sweeter side and not overly complicated with too many spices. The large pizza is BIGGER than a regular pizza box so the edges are always folded up a bit. Again, a whole pie for $19?? Good value.

Read moreNot from the area. I parked in front of this store while going to the bank. Looked it up and saw all the great reviews so I decided to get a slice. I gotta say, while there was certainly nothing wrong with anything on this slice, there wasn't anything remarkable about it either. I found it quite plain and boring. I asked for them to crisp it up which they did. And to be honest the best part was the crunchy part of the crust... because it's the only thing that had any flavor. The not as well done parts of the crust were not very flavorful. The sauce as someone else mentioned was a little sweet, yet plain, and the "too much cheese" was too "gooey" and flavorless for my liking. Nice guys inside, good prices for NYC I guess ($4 for a slice and small fountain drink), but nothing I would tell people they need to try. Hate to say it but there is more flavor in a slice of Sbarro at the mall....but probably more expensive. Just buy a box of Ellio's for...

Everything thing we ordered was absolutely fantastic, whether it be the Meatballs, the Garlic Knots, Sausage or Mushroom or Cheese pizza.
The service provided was phenomenal and Mike was incredibly welcoming to this Old Style Pizzeria in Flushing.
We all enjoyed watching them prepare our pies in the original hand tossed fashion as well as how they maneuvered every item in the oven to make sure each dish and Alice was prepared to perfection.
I envy New Yorkers the ability to have such delicious pizza whenever they wish, but I envy the people of Flushing even more, because X-tra Cheese Pizza is absolutely the best New York slice that I have ever enjoyed. The price for 2 slices & a lg. Coke for just $7 can't be beat.
Thanks for having us and providing us with such amazing fare!
