I give it 2 stars only because the food is actually good and the location- however everything else is bad. When going there, please expect bad customer services-I decided for my lunch break to go there along with 3 other co-workers of mine who aren't Haitian but was interested. I had called in advance and had placed orders through so when we arrive we can eat. Next, expect- wait time. When arriving, the lady had this horrible attitude, and didn't even sit us. We sat where ever, We still waited and then brought 3 dishes, when I ask for one more dish-she seem annoyed as if I am asking for too much or she is feeding me for free. Last time I check-the services is being paid for. She didn't check on us, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I felt embarrassed for suggesting to my co-worker to come here. Everything was a problem-like getting a plastic box for left over food. Didn't even get a plastic bag, didn't bother asking just to avoid her from doing more work. Even the bill we asked for, was a problem OMG...SMH. Sad thing-I was very nice and polite. I am half Haitian and Trinidad and I would like to support the business but I find more and more west Indian or black business are sooo horrible with customer services. Look at is this way-without customers, there is no service and without service, there is no money... good customer services is Business 101. I will stick to my own home cook food for now on and go to restaurants that properly service people. If customer service was on point she would have been tipped, and probably tipped well, but hey- as bad as the customer service was-she didn't deserve a penny. I do wish this business luck though. But not going there anymore and am not recommending this to people I know either. I have a lot of my families that make food-taste way better and its free. Thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE IS THE WORST HAITAIN STOP IāVE BEEN TO. I live in New Jersey and stopped by for some delicious Haitian food. Instead of food I got nothing but TERRIBLE customer service. My mother and I walked in and the staff there barely looked at us and when they did, they acted as if we crashed their party. There was no hello, how may I help you? Or anything...... After standing there for what seemed to be eternity without anyone speaking to us I had to ask if we were ever going to be assisted. By then I wanted to just leave. So I told them how I felt and left. I then called to speak to a manager but instead was told they didnāt know where the manager was.....then when I asked his name, the girl on the phone said she didnāt know but said he would be there SOMETIME next week. REALLY!!! Well thatās the problem with most Haitian run businesses. We customers are supporting your business, IF YOU DIDNT KNOW, it takes customers to run a successful business. To keep customers you need good food( Iāll never know because i would never go back) and great customer service, which I doubt this place even know how to spell CUSTOMER SERVICE. They only got a star because I had to select a star to Enter my review. Maybe you guys can go and take some note from Negril restaurant. I believe itās a jaimaican run restaurant. Theyāre downtown Manhattan with a restaurant full of people on any given day. You would think with a few drunks at your bar and one lousy customer at your restaurant on a Saturday night, you would be motivated to work on your customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read morewould not recommend this restaurant at all. My family came here for a birthday celebration and were excited to patron a Haitian establishment. As we enter the parking lot there is an overfilled dumpster at the front. Not cute. Next the air was not on and waiting at least 30 minutes for them to turn it on during the summer ā¦.. but whatever⦠the real reason I am writing this because the food was catered for 15 people. Once we got our plates to sit down the servers immediately went to pack the food up. If you didnāt go up within 15 minutes..all of the food was taken away. Never in my life have I seen a buffet style catered order taken away. Iām talking about didnāt even get the chance to go back up to grab another piece of chicken. When the host confronted the owner he said no that is how it isā¦Once everyone gets one plate, all of the Platoās get packed up even though its buffet style ā¦. My assumption is so they could take that food to resell it. What a shame. Ridiculous and ghetto. I would take my...
