Let me start off by saying that this restaurant is Tex-Mex. The owners and cooks and other staff are Asian, not Mexican. So please don’t come here expecting authentic Mexican food.
I’ve been two of their other locations many times and was always satisfied with the food. Good portions, tasty, fresh and hot, etc. Today I went to this location for the first time, called in my order before I headed over there and it was ready to pick up when I arrived. I’d ordered a plate with meat, mexican rice, and black beans plus a quesadilla. When I picked it up, everything looked fine so I didn’t double check it. Big mistake to say the least.
There were no beans at all on my plate and there was only one sour cream and one salsa. Super disappointing because the size of the plate alone calls for at least two of each condiment but I wouldn’t even be complaining had they at least remembered my beans. Plate was sooo dry. Just meat and rice with a tiny sour cream and salsa. As is necessary with most restaurants, check your order...

Now that I'm not living there anymore I just found this place opened up nearby Ozone Park. The food is as good as I remember it. It's not authentic Mexican tacos but not fast food tacos either. It's the perfect middle ground with real Spanish & Mexican seasonings, cooked fresh to order. It's delicious and you get a ton of food for like 20 bucks..I usually get 2 tacos (1 beef 1 steak) and a combo meal with extra black bean and still stay under 20 bucks. Can't beat that.
I recommend the grilled chicken and steak combination that comes with black beans, rice, lettuce and 2 tortillas. I make 2 burritos with it and still have plenty left over to eat as a plate of rice and beans with chicken and steak later on as a snack or to take to lunch for work - and I'm a big guy. So think about what that says for how much food you get in that...

I really wasted to offset for my kids, gave him a chance, but had to go shine where else. I stayed away for a while. Said your not the only customer and YELLED at me. I asked are you yelling at me? He yelled YES!!!😳 i asked to speak to the lady whose always in there and had originally answered, he said no lady worked here and hung up. So sad since I live right here and like this kind of food.
