Dino's Grill — Restaurant in Newark

1 star.,., normally i would give this place a solid 3.,.but I want to try and bring down the average reviews so people are not fooled into thinking this is some great restaurant with great food,,because its NOT!.,.don't get me wrong the food is not bad but its not great as described in other reviews.,.,its ok(not bad) at best.,.,On to what i ordered.,.spaghetti with meat balls,,,house soup(some kind of rice soup),,,and the Italian burger with mixed pasta.,.,ok first of all the Italian burger.,.we orderd this based on the reviews of other talking about how its the greatest burger they ever had.,.well LOL it was by far not the best burger.,.,it was kind of just whatever definitely nothing to wright home about.,.I'd rather have a in and out burger any day over this Italian burger.,.,Now the spaghetti with meatballs .,this re minded me of like some kind of cafeteria spaghetti.,..the whole time i was eating the spaghetti all i could think about was,,,.maaan i could make something better then this at home with little effort.,.,spaghetti was ok not bad, not good .,.,.,garlic bread was some Costco hot dog bun with garlic butter on it,,,soup was wahtever had the add lots of salt and pepper..,as far as the staff goes.,.its the same staff you would see at any taqueria.,.,when the owner is there they act right.,.when not.,.,well they act like them selves.,.,.,

.,,,..over all this place is just ok 3 stars to give this place 4 5 stars is ridiculous you will not be eating the best you ever had of anything here.,.more of a place you go if you are craving pasta but to lazy to make it you self and would settle for something ok to fill...

I don't know where to begin, Soula (sp?) was absolutely delightful. She was extremely helpful over the phone, we were catering a business lunch of 16 people and she made it so easy for us. When I arrived for the food she was excited to meet me after all of our phone conversations and was eager to make sure I was satisfied. She included utensils and plates which was very nice but she even 1 up'd my expectations and included serving spoons and salad servers. OMG talk about above and beyond, I did not expect that. When I got the food back, it did not last long. The food is delicious. Everything was fresh and the dishes she suggested were PERFECT. We had some vegetarians and she made sure everyone got a meal they could eat. Thank you so much Soula! - You...

Went to Dino's Grill after the lunch hour so the place was pretty much to ourselves. Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the steak sandwich, bacon cheese burger, and the seafood alfredo. Unfortunately, the food that was served to us was bland. The seafood alfredo was not creamy and it was too runny. They do have salt and pepper at the counter. The steak sandwich had no taste. It would help if they offered a sauce for it. Maybe horse radish sauce? The fries were very good though, but the soda fountain was what I enjoyed the most. It appears that they use cane sugar and it tasted like it. Overall, it was a good experience, but I wish they put some "color"...
