Since my daughter gets crazy about BTS, she starts to like Korean food also, so we got to try all the Korean restaurants in the area. We've seen this one in the Lion Supermarket shopping center for a long time now, we tried it and went there a few times already. Korean restaurants prices are mostly higher than Chinese or other ethnic food as I (payer) notice for the same quality and quantity. I think Korean food is more complex to prepare or just catered to Koreans who are accustomed to high prices. The food is mostly spices and tasty in its own way. The home made noodles are quite chewy and the sauce is quite tasty, although they're just flour, my daughter love them for some reasons. I and my wife like the hot and spicy seafood soup, which is great for when you're under the weather, will sweat after a hot bowl of soup and rice, quite tasty, easy to eat. This place is quite clean and the service is excellent, all dishes are over $11 as I recalled which is not terribly expensive but for what we get, is a little overpriced. Anyhow, it's the taste that counts and as long as everyone in the family not complaining and finish their food. So, this will be our regular Korean restaurant when we have the urge for some spicy food, all...
Read moreThe freezing brisk weather, as of late, had me 100% craving some good ol soondubu. With less than a handful of outdoor seating, they’re still mainly focused on takeout.
This was also my first outdoor dining experience since the outdoor dining reopened after the holidays. The staff were all wearing masks, as were the other patrons dining. Tables were cleaned and sanitized between customers.
Alright, enough w the logistics. Down to the good stuff. The bon chons! Yass. Seoul here does it right. Plentiful per serving, and note they’re unlimited! For entree, I got what I came for. Seafood soondubu. MM MM. While I ordered it in mild, my partner ordered it in medium. Mild was a bit too mild for me, but the medium was a bit too spicy. My fix? Get the mild and toss in some of that good ol kimchi!
Highly...
