Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Newark

The pizza is really good, but I would say otherwise about just about everything else. I worked there for a while, and I did not like it at all. First of all, all the employees spoke in a different language, which isn't a problem until you're trying to work together with them and even though they can all speak English fine, they choose not to. And speaking a different language around someone who doesn't know it is commonly considered as rude. So... The back room where they make the pizzas is not what I consider clean. There's not as much hand washing as should happen, especially when dealing with raw meat. I ended up going home early one day due to developing Salmonella. They tend to not do any dishes until the end. Speaking of sanitation, during the game nights, no one picks up any dishes until the game is over, so just about every plate they have is on the tables, and the tables are just gross, and that doesn't look good for any customers coming in. Lastly, I worked there for a month before they let me fill out my I-9, which is required to be filled out before one starts work. I could have been a criminal and they wouldn't have known. So yeah, go there if you wish, but be weary. But definitely...

I regret coming here.

To begin, the guy I talked to on the phone had the quietest voice and mumbled the whole time. I found it incredibly rude. It was nearly impossible to understand him and I had to ask him to repeat himself quite a few times. When I arrived at the store, I had the misfortune of speaking to the same man. Once more, he barely opened his mouth when he spoke so I was forced to ask him to say the same thing over and over.

The pizzas are cut weirdly. It looks like a classroom hit some goal so all the elementary school kids get 1/3 of a slice. The sauce tastes cheap, like you would get in a cafeteria. To be fair, the pepperonis were really crispy and tasty. But it certainly wasn't enough to save a horrible pizza.

The pizza's quality made me feel bad, but the high price made me feel worse. I did not receive anything close to the quality I paid for.

All in all, I would not recommend...

I ordered a pizza for pickup at 9:30pm. We arrived at about 9:22, and there was probably 20 people standing on the sidewalk in front of the store talking, which we had to wade through to even get in the store. The guy running the front looked like he was mad at something, and was very dismissive. The dining room was the most disgusting dining room I have ever been in, there was beer and pizza trays on every table in the dining room. There was not one single table to sit at that was not dirty. In addition they had WWE on the TV very loud, and the only table that he finally cleaned for us, was right in front of the TV. When our pizza finally arrived at 9:35, it was not even cut all the way through so that we could eat it. I will never be back to the place, and I recommend that you go to one of the other places...
