The Deep Inn — Restaurant in Newark

I'm traveling for work and I didn't want to drink at the hotel bar, which is exactly like every hotel bar. So I looked for something close to the airport and I found "Deep Inn." It's a local neighborhood bar for sure and walking in I felt, "this is right, this was a good choice." Understandably, "dive bars" aren't for everyone. And that's okay. If dive bars aren't your thing, don't go to Deep Inn. If they are, you'll feel right at home. If you're new to them, this is a good intro. From the taxidermy on the walls, the green paint (you know what shade of green I'm talking about), the vintage/original tin ceiling tiles, the eclectic decorations. All these things feel so familiar, like our favorite dives back home, but are borne out of genuine authenticity that is hard to simulate, and hard to earn. I repeat, it is a local bar. If you're a traveler passing through, respect that. The bartender (I wish I was better with names) was great; friendly, attentive, welcoming. It felt great to find joy during a business trip by having a few drinks and talking to locals (including a local medium!) rather than other business travelers. I recently experienced exceptional service and bartending at a local establishment. The staff, led by skilled bartenders, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and friendliness , to providing attentive service, and the overall experience was top-notch. The ambiance, coupled with the expertise of the bartenders, made for an enjoyable and memorable evening. Highly recommend for those seeking both quality drinks and outstanding service. Always thought it wasn’t my type of bar to be at but I was wrong. Came in one night and I haven't stopped coming since. The place is small but it sure gets a lot of customers. The pizza is delicious and straight out the oven when served. Love that they have the touch tunes machine so I can play songs I want to hear.
