Pasta was good but everything else was really bad. Chicken parm sandwich was wet and the sauce tasted like lunchables sauce, fries tasted old and the garlic bread isn’t complementary with the pasta all though they ask as if it is. This place is more expensive than olive garden when a penne vodka sauce pasta$28, chicken parm $17, pizza fries $10 and two cheesecakes $9 each runs you $73. Worst thing is i got charged 86.42! Over charged for no reason and when i called about it they proceed to lie about prices and repeat the exact menu prices and told me it added up to 86 with their 7% tax charge. Horrible experience might as well eat at olive garden for the price

Don’t even know where to begin.. was in town for the weekend with a large group celebrating a graduation, we originally went to Tops but the wait time was to long so we searched for a new place to accommodate are group of 12 and found Andros.we called and made a reservation. We arrived and were seated right away.. service was great! And food was on point. Friendly waiters, good smiles and laughs. Great memories. We also met the owner George who came out and welcomed us and treated us like family! Great experience. Definelty recommend and will def be back when we are in New Jersey. Thank you George and staff! See yall soon!

I don’t leave reviews much but this experience definitely deserves one , the owner was EXTREMELY POLITE & HELPFUL . And the food was very delicious, it was hot and prepared PERFECTLY like a home cooked meal . 10/10 . The salmon was very flavor filled and thick . The vegetables were sautéed and cooked perfectly, very easy to chew ( not too hard , not too soft) just perfect . I came very early and he allowed me to come in to wait for my ride but I ended up ordering . He was very patient and polite and helpful . I definitely will be coming back & recommend everyone come show love

Good things:

It's in the Ironbound section of Newark on Ferry St. A great area.

It's open 24 hours every day.

There are always cops passing by in at various hours and you will see friendly faces from the neighborhood.

Nice roomy diner that is well kept and we'll lit.

Bad things:

Overpriced for the quality and quantity of food they offer. There are far better options in the neighborhood.

Taste of food offered is hit or miss. Provided it was accurate to the menu description, I found some meals okay but others overcooked or just unappealing. It's one of those places where the taste depends on the hour.

Deceitful menu, with a steak my friend and I ordered actually being meatloaf. It was not resolved when brought to their attention. We ate it due to being short on time but we both left upset.

Deceitful and rude staff. One day, in one particular incident one waitress charged us an extra $20 on our total, saying it was the tip. Despite our orders not exceeding $45, and totally disregarding our actual tip on the table. Furthermore upon pointing this out she sneered at the three of us. We paid the amount regardless, because one friend didn't want needless arguing, but I will never again eat there.

Overall. It's been 3 years since, so maybe it has changed for the better. But trust is lost, and I'm not placing it here. It really makes it hard for me to see any valid reason to eat here, especially with three 24 hour dining spots available now where as before there was no competition.

If you decide to try Andros, write a review. Hopefully it's a good experience now after three years. But I cannot in faith recommend this place as I remember it. Hopefully your experience will...

I've had several bad experiences here so this is not a one off experience. Once ordered a Gyro and was told when it came the kitchen made a mistake and put it in a normal tortilla wrap instead of the normal Gyro wrap. She said it so fast with a half baked "sorry" before quickly walking off we didn't have a chance to ask for it to be fixed. Another occasion I got a chicken wrap and only ate half because I kept getting bone shards that I had to spit out. One time I had a good experience with a nice waitress and great buffalo chicken strips. Sadly the good experience didn't make up for the last time I went and the waitress (same one from all the other bad experiences) was especially rude. My friend nicely asked for mayo and eventually the check and was ignored and talked to very rudely. My friend payed the check and decided not to tip because the restaurant was almost empty yet the waitress was just standing around and ignoring us. We walked out and the waitress chased us outside and started yelling at us for not leaving a tip. I've tipped every time I had her but I HAD IT with the extra rude service and my friend wasn't having it. I believe in tipping al the time unless it's truly awful and the waitress is to blame. Sometimes things are out of their control so there is no need to take it out on them but she did not earn or deserve a tip. I was shocked she started yelling at us down the sidewalk. Will never try this place again just because of that. It's cheap food and would have gone back if it wasn't for her meltdown. Too bad the one nice waitress was only working one time I came. I won't be taking the chance of getting the mean lady again....

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a food establishment. And I’ve had platters of orange juice dropped on me, razor sharp tomato sauce can lids left in pizza, plastic vertical blinds dropped on my head to name a few. But this takes the cake. For the love of god if you actually like nachos and know what nachos are don’t order the nachos. You get some chips, unseasoned chunky chipped chicken, cheese wiz, and chopped tomatoes. And if you dare politely try to address it with the waitress she will shrug her shoulders and say you ordered it and walk away. And if some things are not in season explain to the customer and don’t include them it’s better than handing someone a sliver of a white hard un-ripened tomato wilted lettuce. Oh and I guess overnight they ask you how you want your burger for polling purposes because medium rare comes out the same medium well as the others ordered. But again when you complain you are met with lying and rudeness. I get mistakes are made, that’s life and we’re all human it’s how you handle it that matters. When people try to bring real issues to their attention it’s met with screaming and lies. And we paid for what we actually ate. People sending food back because it’s awful and not what described in their own menu shouldn’t be...
