Uncle Willie's Wings — Restaurant in Newark

We had THE BEST experience here tonight. When we pulled up, the door was locked and the staff was cleaning up. They saw us outside and let us in. Everyone was very helpful and so nice. The owner has created amazing sauces to go on the wings. He had us sample four of the hotter sauces, and we ended up getting a bunch of different kinds of wings to share. The spicier sauces are wonderfully spicy - but also taste really good. They taste like more than just 'hot'. I usually stick to hot buffalo style wings, but this is a place to try the different sauces. The side dishes we tried were good. I almost wish I lived in Newark so I could go here every week. I'm pretty sure you would quickly feel like the people here were family.

We got some of the house made strawberry lemonade and iced tea. Both were sweet, but delicious. While you wait for your food, you can play free vintage...

So first impressions ita a small hole in the wall place, in an urban neighborhood with lots if Street walkers (My visit was in the evening) I was coming from out of town omw to Visit the Wendy William's Show n wanted someone with Great Reviews to eat at. #UncleWillies was the Ish.. I loved the down to earth tones Which was immediately received from Co Owners Derek n Willie, whom has another business a female Forgot her name she was quiet but had a great smile. So the Food Was Awesome, Took A while to cook but was well prepared n worth the wait, The shrimp was crunchy, The wings with special Willie sauce was Muey Caliente . Mac n Cheese was Dightful N the Yams Was to die for. . I also like the HipHopVibe that they embody.. All the Fooda Had hip hop names In them.. One of Willie's Goals is to open up a Lounge.. The menu is plenty and I honestly wanted to try everything.

Will was working at the front and I asked for a few suggestions and went with the wings. Wasn't sure which sauce I wanted so he offered 4 for me to try

Creamy Garlic Stallion ( he suggested because I said I lived in NC ; mustard based) Creamy Lemon Pepper ( his current go-to) Garlic Parm Asian Chili

Loved all four; went with stallion and lemon pepper

8 wings (1/2 & 1/2 sauces) with a order of waffle fries Everything was made fresh and was ready in less than 15 minutes.

Fried to golden perfection and sauced just fried. Some of the best wings I have ever had. Waffles fries were perfect.
