I moved in to a house 2 blocks away from the newberg DQ about 3 years ago. I have walked in countless times and have had some great service and some that could improve. But this was by far the worst I've been treated. I ordered 2 cheeseburger, 1 reg Fri, 1 small Sunday, and 1 med cone w cherry dip. I had to repeat it a few times but, no worry he must be new. I let him know it was a 'to go' order since he didn't ask. His response was to tell me the plastic number was to help him keep track of the orders. I asked for bags instead of a tray at this point. Que his eye roll. Dyed hair, peirced nose and face, with more attitude then I am prepared to take. He handed me the cone and Sunday, I asked for a bag. He told me they don't have any. I ask for a lid to which he drops on top of the Sunday (doesn't snap into place). I show him, then he fixed. I proced to grab the bag I asked for which is with all the others kess the 1 foot away. He tells me I'm not allowed to take it. I remind him he told me that they had no bags. While I bagged Sunday. I stand and wait for my food. He comes back and puts my 2 burgers into the bag then pulls out his phone and starts checking something. Eventually he stops reading or watching or texting, then puts the Fri in bag. He hands me the bag. I tell him to try nor using his phone while he has customers waiting on prepared food. He tells me that I got my food and to go. I asked for his name which he ignores, goes into the back, then comes out trying to tell the other workers he us being rude to me because "he only ordered 15 dollars in food". What difference should it make if I order 1 dollar or 30 dollars? I'm not asking for special attention. I just want to be treated like I'm as important here as at any other restaurant. This guy made me feel like I was interrupting his phone time. That I shouldn't bother coming in because I'm going to be treated poorly since I'm not catering a meal, I'm only buying for me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI decided to write this review because I spent just over $30 at this dairy Queen with my mobile order. When I was ordering with my husband on his phone I was looking for the option of extra fry sauce under the cost option of sauces. I never having a problem paying for extra items because I know it costs a business money. However under the extra cost sauce options, fry sauce was not an option. I thought to myself no worries I will just ask for at the drive-thru. When I get to the drive-thru not only did the worker forget to give me my three drinks and Dilly bar, but when I asked for fry sauce they told me that it would cost extra. I politely asked if they could add it to my mobile order remotely since I did notbring my wallet. . They told me no. I ended up just taking ketchup and driving away. I think what frustrates me the most about the situation is often when I do pay for extra sauces I have to ask for it because they do not put it in the bag. It has happened a handful of times where I paid for sauce that I did not receive. However, when I couldn't figure out how to pay for it this one time... They couldn't accommodate me. I've come to the conclusion this is my least favorite fast food place in Newberg. Missing order items, rude customer service, and long drive thru times has made dq lose my business until it changes. This is my last time going unless the husband wants...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never go and write reviews for myself, this is so that people don't go there and are disappointing and surprised with the lack of service. First time I went in with my Mom, and first thing we heard in line was profanity shouting from the food prep area. We then ordered 2 blizzards from an employee that didn't know how to solve the problem of filling the blizzards with fudge. Once we received the blizzards, mine was less full than expected, but that wasn't a big enough problem. When I got home at about 9:45 (too late to return my blizzard) I realized after about 4 bites that a topping I asked to remove, was not removed, and that there was not very much of the topping I asked extra for. My Mom asked for mint flavor and when she was handed the blizzard, there was the green mint flavor that looked like dye, squirted on top barely mixed in. When I took my blizzard back the next day I told the cash register what happened and that I would like my blizzard remade. She was polite and said she would take care of it, and when I went to tell her that there was another topping (which I forgot to tell her at the register) I heard and saw her say some rude things about how and why I kept the blizzard for a day. I have worked in fast food before, and never saw anyone act this way so I am surprised that this happens. Would do less than 1 star if I could,...
