Little France Patisserie — Restaurant in Newport Beach

I'm a big foodie and just started working nearby and moving to OC. When I saw this quaint cafe, I could not help but stop in, and I am so glad I did. I absolutely love going to new places and finding amazing bakeries that have pastries and bread.

One bite from one of their croissants, and you will be hooked. I could not help taking photos and admiring their beautiful pastry that I discovered is not only pleasing to the eye, but out of this world pleasure in your mouth.

They have a variety of croissants, including chocolate, hazelnut, raspberry, and pistachio - after taking a bite of either of the latter, will make you question if it's real or a fantasy - that's how good it is. The pistachio croissant is absolutely INSANE. They also do croissant rolls. See my photos for more mouthwatering decadence.

They have stunning perfect, individual pastries such as opera cakes and others, French classics such as kouign amann, canele, and the chausonne aux pommes (maybe they don't call it that, but it's apple turnover/pastry). I have not been in to try their quiches, croissant sandwiches, or crepes, but they have have a large selection of those. They make fresh baguettes as well.

The service is great, and they are so patient and kind despite me having walked in right when they opened. The owner is so nice and you can tell, they love what they do and they take pride in it.

If you haven't been in to try some of their goods and you're a foodie like me, you are missing out. Pardonnez moi pour mes francais, but I would call the taste orgasmic, something for everyone. The price may be on the high side, but for the quality and taste - it is more than worth it, and look at the area you're in. They also have a variety of coffee drinks and use good...

SUPER DELUXE FRENCH CAKES ! On Sunday after breakfast in Newport Beach we spotted this cafe open as we were leaving the parking lot. We've never seen this location open before on a Sunday which is the only day we are usually in this area. My wife went inside take a look and then I got a text.....this looks great ! And I had to agree with my wife when I joined her inside....very friendly staff too. Yashar the charismatic manager introduced himself to us and we met his lovely Mom Baha. OMG.....the little French dessert cakes looked incredible. We had a fun chat with Yashar who told us they just started opening on Mondays ( now open 7 days a week ). The cafe first opened it's doors in early May but we haven't been around this way since January. And they have a bigger original location in Mission Viejo.....this is a family business. We haven't seen a French cake shop this good since our recent vacation in Paris. My wife selected a very decadent looking Opera Cake Classic and Yashar recommended the Chocolate Hazelnut Caramel to me. We added a couple of sensational looking pastries....Kouign Amann and a Chocolate Croissant Roll to take home for later. And trust me everything tasted absolutely exquisite ! Oh and they have a fabulous espresso machine and serve the classic Italian coffee Lavazza. There is lots to like here....savory croissants, sweet croissants, lots of decadent cakes, a cute indoor dining space and exceptional service. CAN'T WAIT...

TOTALLY DELICIOUS LUNCH ! Around 10am on Sunday my wife and I headed off on our eBikes to the Upper Newport Nature Preserve....a distance of 8 miles approx. HOT DAY ! It was more than a little warm so we didn't push the pace. LUNCH ! We had this fabulous French cafe pencilled in for lunch. Not long after midday we parked our eBikes outside. Yashar the manager greeted us in his usual welcoming manner. There were a few diners here already enjoying lunch in air conditioned comfort. We wanted to try something different so we ordered 2 x Ham & Cheese Croissants + our usual 2 x small double shot lattes. Of course we would be crazy not to have some dessert so we added 1 x Coffee Layer Cake and 1 x Opera Raspberry. Yashar made our lattes while Alissa heated up our savory croissants. Before we knew it our well made lattes and delicious ham & cheese croissants were on our table. We loved the perfect flaky texture of our croissants....and the ham & cheese tasted so good. Hard to go wrong with the Italian Lavazza coffee....can't beat a rich creamy latte. BIG FINISH ! Alissa brought out our dessert cakes. My wife enjoyed her Coffee Layer Cake...very subtle coffee flavor. My Opera Raspberry tasted sensational....dark chocolate and raspberry were made in heaven. BEST IN...
