I also experienced what I thought was a Trusting Buying experience as the Owner seemed quite nice and Trustworthy. I asked 3 times... for the Retail contract .. he kept saying it would be mailed. he stated 20 % interest .. tags and title.. would be deducted from that .. I'm thinking ok no problem..
As I completed the deal.. after 1500.00 down payment and monthly payment was said to be 250.00 for 36 mos. But was actually for 45 months !
Sticker Price on car 4995.00 minus 1500.00 - taxes and tags amount financed should have been appx. $ 4795.00 x 20 % ( 1000.00 ) x 36 months ( compounded ) about 5795.00 + 4795.00 bottom line understandable ( 10500.00 )
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming since I bought a vehicle from this lot 4 years ago, but I will never go back nor recommend their business to anyone. The best thing that I ever did was trade that SUV in and get a vehicle from a proper dealership.
My husband and I were young and dumb, so we decided to make the purchase since we felt that it was a good deal. The salesmen reassured us that the vehicle was "best on the lot," and if it was, then no one should ever go here! We quickly realized that our "good deal" would cost us much more in out-of-pocket repairs since the vehicle was sold "As Is". We had to get a new oil pan, new axle, new breaks and rotors, and had 2 left calipers on both front tires which really complicated all the work. Then, we finally got to take it home!! Seriously, we didn't even make it home before we noticed oil was leaking... Temp tag expired before we had the title in our name. After calling multiple times, they finally sent us the title, but it was never even filed for us like they said they would do. It still had the dealership papers stapled on top of the title from the last owner, so we have to do all the filing ourselves.
Within the first couple of months we also had to replace 2 tire pressure censors and the check engine light came on, and we ended up fixing countless other things over the 4 years we owned the vehicle. So glad to be done with the whole situation! Lesson learned!...
Read more0 stars. I bought a 2004 Ford Escape, and in the deal they were to find new used tires for the sale to be completed. They put off looking until they eventually forgot and I didn't care anymore to replace the VERY bald tires. I was given temp tags for 4mo which is ILLEGAL in the state of Tennessee; you are allowed 2 issued temp tags. Finally, avoiding another temp tag I called and went down there and told them I needed my plate. I was told while buying the car that they will have it mailed to them within a week of the purchase, but 4mo later I was still driving with temp tags. The new guy working says Scott has it with him and I hadn't seen Scott since the day I bought it. A middle man called my workplace saying the computers arent working to get my info for a tag and so on. They had me rushing around not ever knowing what was going on. When they moved locations we went to the old one to make a payment and a guy roaming around there didn't know exactly where they moved to or how to get there and said he would take the payment to them because he is a mechanic for them of some sort. Very untrustworthy and "sketchy" at best. Very bad business and likely illegal way of business. Im paying 9k for a used old worn out car which isnt worth more than 4k less of what I'm paying. I would never recommend buying a car from them for any reason. I have so much more I could go on about but trust me. Unique Auto...
