Wendy's — Restaurant in Nicholasville

I am normally a fan of Wendy's, however, this location is not so great. I've been to this location a handful of times and I've never been terribly excited about it but my most recent visit was pretty bad. Interacting with the woman at the counter just to get my order (for four) right was painful. It took a solid 20 min for our food to be ready and there really wasn't anyone else in the place (drive through traffic was also low). Our fries were cold and the sandwiches were tepid at best. We politely asked for fresh fries and the woman behind the counter was not very happy about that. We were pretty much done with our sandwiches by the time the second round of fries were ready. I tried their new ghost pepper chicken sandwich and was soundly disappointed. Overall flavour was fine, it was just rather poorly made. The special sauce and fried onions were in a wad in the center of the sandwich under the chicken patty. It was also no more spicy than a normal spicy chicken sandwich. We decided to top off with some Frosties but after talking with another seemingly confused employee, we discovered that they only had strawberry, so we went with that. You know this was the first time I had given Wendy's a chance after last year when it came out that they wanted to serve expired beef but I will not be back to this Wendy's. My total was over $20 and I gave them a $50 bill at 7:45 in the evening. The cashier had to call I assume a manager over to swipe something for the register and he proceeded to tell the girl to give me back all ones because he hated when people gave big bills. She said no I have enough change. I'm right there at the drive-thru window I can hear this I am also in the retail industry and I would never say this in front of a customer in fact when someone's change is only going to be about $25 that's not a big deal if you lack a $20 bill and a $5 bill or even five ones at 7:30 in the evening at a fast food restaurant you might as well close your doors because that means you probably ain't getting much business. Now I know why they have a bunch of one star ratings for the last 6 months. I would also like to add once I got home the nuts and stuff that was supposed to go on my salad were also...

Waited in line indoors for 5 minutes or so because they looked understaffed. The girl running the register was a sweetheart although she was multitasking to the extreme. 2 guys in back were joking off a little bit so she politely put them in their place without causing a seen. By the way, she wasn't the manager. The woman dressed as The manager working drive thru was only taking orders while the so called helper who didn't know anything, The cashier was getting drive thru orders ready, orders from the front counter ready, making sure all was right with the "cooks" AND also cleaned the tables and filled up condiments. I wish I could remember her name cause she did it all with a smile. She's a skinny thing with long brown hair, very light complected and think she told me she had a child or two and one was bottle...
