My interest to visit Chipotle Mexican Grill came at the spur of the moment as I drove down Touhy Ave towards Edens Expressway. Its vegetarian and vegan options have always been at the back of my mind, so I was bound to visit a location at some point; this location just happened to be on my route at the time.
With there being multiple businesses and restaurants there is a ton of parking within the shopping center (Village Crossing). Two of the neighboring businesses of this Chipotle Mexican Grill are Corner Bakery, and a Barnes & Noble bookstore. The shopping center itself has a mixture of restaurants and shopping stores that are relevant to the community.
Burritos, Bowls, Tacos, and Salads! Oh my! I was acknowledged by an employee as soon as I walked up to the menu but needed a brief moment to gauge what I wanted to order. Once you choose either item I aforementioned, an employee tops your choosing as your order moves in an assembly line fashion towards the register. I ended up ordering the veggie bowl which consisted of corn salsa, cheese, shredded romaine lettuce, cilantro-lime brown rice, black beans, and fresh tomato salsa.
The employee who assisted me was very patient from the initial encounter at the menu and as I picked my toppings. And at the register, Angelica took care of me sending me off with my order.
Oh my God, the veggie bowl was delicious! While eating it, I savored each taste of it with the only regret in the end being that I did not order another. I must say that the corn salsa gave it the taste I adored and that I will yearn for in time, * chef's kiss *.
As a whole I had a satisfying carry-out experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Likely, the next time I make my way back out to Chipotle whether it be this location or another location closer to me I will order either a veggie burrito or tacos to switch it...
Read moreI like the actual food so food gets the stars. Everything else here is way below par. The ppace not busy when I walked in around 4pm. I was told there is no white rice. After clarification I found out that it was being made and would take 16 minutes. I was debating if I should do a delivery order and save the time but decided to wait. I went up to the counter to tell them that but even before I uttered something a rude lady behing the counter said it still says 8 minutes. I said ok then can I give u my order and u can have it ready once rice is done or want me to walk up here. Her words "Its your choice" with a very dismissive attitude. I walked away and waited coz I like chipotle food. This location is horrible, not clean, rude and mean. She made it seem like I was troubling her too much. There was NO ONE IN THE LINE TO ORDER. Maybe she was having a bad day but this is not good customer service. I HAVE NEVER SEEN CHIPOTLE TUNNOUT OF RICE LIKE THAT LET ALONE CLOSE TO DINNER TIME. Arent they suppose to prep the next batch while the current batch is running out? This was on 08/17/25 at 4 to 4.05PM at the village crossing location. The employee is a girl(hispanic I believe) and wears glasses. Infact, this location asked a guy who had interviewed with them to come back in 30 mins and not go anywhere. When he arrived they tried to tell him that your interview is tomorrow. When he clarified what happened this lady was rude to him and dint even...
Read moreUnfortunately, I canât recommend this location based on todayâs experience. I usually enjoy Chipotle, but this visit was disappointing.
I placed my order early in the morning for a noon pickup and arrived about 7 minutes early after receiving a notification that my order was ready. However, when I got to the pickup area, my food wasnât there. Several others were also waiting, clearly experiencing delays.
After waiting a while, I asked an employee about my order. She pulled some recent labels from the printer and began preparing it at that moment â despite the app saying it was already ready. There was confusion with the labeling, especially since I had ordered 5+ items. She told me the items were correct but mislabeled with other names. When I asked how I was supposed to tell which was which, she let out a sigh and began re-labeling everything.
In the end, my order was about 25 minutes late, which significantly cut into my lunch break. What made the experience worse was the lack of any acknowledgment or apology for the delay...
