Hub's Restaurant: A Gyro Gem Nestled Amidst the Bustling Streets of Skokie As a lifelong resident of Chicago, my quest for the perfect gyro has taken me far and wide, but none have quite captured the essence of Greek cuisine like Hub's Restaurant. Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Skokie, Hub's has become synonymous with exceptional quality and unbeatable taste. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that radiates warmth and authenticity. The clean, inviting space sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. But it's not just the ambiance that leaves a lasting impression – it's the food. Let's talk about the star of the show: the gyro. At Hub's, it's not just a meal; it's an art form. The meat quality is unparalleled, boasting a succulence and flavor profile that is simply unrivaled. Each bite is a symphony of taste, with the meat cooked to perfection and bursting with savory goodness. What truly sets Hub's apart is their commitment to quality – there are no shortcuts here. The meat speaks for itself, free from the heavy hand of excessive sodium or artificial flavors. It's pure, unadulterated deliciousness. But it's not just about the gyro – Hub's offers a diverse menu that satisfies every craving. From barbecue ribs to juicy burgers, there's something for everyone. And let's not forget about the portions – they're generous to say the least. You won't leave Hub's hungry, that's for sure. Of course, no dining experience is complete without exceptional service, and Hub's delivers on all fronts. The staff are more than just servers – they're ambassadors of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, you're treated like family at Hub's. I'll admit, I don't hand out five-star ratings lightly, especially when it comes to fast food restaurants. But Hub's is no ordinary fast food joint – it's a culinary haven where quality meets affordability. The value you get for your money is simply unmatched, making every visit to Hub's a true delight. In a town known for its diverse culinary scene, Hub's stands out as a beacon of excellence. It's more than just a restaurant – it's a destination, a culinary journey that leaves you craving more. So if you find yourself craving a gyro that's truly second to none, do yourself a favor and head to Hub's Restaurant in Skokie. Your taste buds will thank you.

I have been coming here since the 1980s, though yesterday was my first time here in almost 20 years. When I lived in the area I went almost weekly. Yesterday’s meal was a fantastic trip down memory lane with some great friends from the old neighborhood. I had the skirt steak sandwich and my friend had the 1/2 bbq chicken; it tasted the same as it did 20 years ago. They now apparently bottle their own sauce through a separate entity and it tastes just like before. Even the staff is the same as it was almost 40 years ago. This place is a treasure. I often gravitate to Herm’s or Poochies or even Grecian Kitchen when I am in the area. However, don’t sleep on hubs, this place is fantastic and has amazing consistency across decades. I have only been to the Lincoln Ave location one time as I grew up around the corner from the Demeter St. location. A true Skokie icon!

Stopped in this place for dinner this past early February after wandering around Old Orchard. This was the 2nd Chicago style/Greek venue on Dempster in Skokie within a roughly 1-mile stretch that we tried and was a pleasant first experience. The grub here overall at reasonable prices is really good and I myself went with the Reuben which was delicious. The dining room was very clean and the service was down-to-earth friendly. We live pretty far north in Beach Park in Lake Co. but are at Old Orchard a few times a year so it's likely we'll stop back in here. Another go-to place if ever in the area and hope for decades of boomin' business for the owner(s).

My boyfriend and I love driving around and finding new places to eat. We stumbled across Hubs for the first time and we were not disappointed!

I had the 1/4 # burger with added bacon, and they were very generous with the amount of bacon! Very delicious. My boyfriend had the half slab of ribs and was raging about how delicious they were! Both meals came with fries which we thoroughly enjoyed. We shared the buffalo wings which were very tasty!

My only complaint is that about half the wings were slightly undercooked in the middle, but the buffalo sauce and the rest of the wings were delicious. Nothing we couldn’t eat around!

I was not a fan of the bleu cheese. It was strange and not to my taste, but i am a picky eater so take that with a grain of salt. The ranch was standard.

My other reason for a 4 star is because some staff were not wearing their masks correctly, which is concerning during the pandemic. With Covid on the rise, I would have liked to see staff wearing masks properly, especially in a food-service business. There were also some other customers eating in the store which goes against the current guidelines in Illinois.

The food was very filling, we both had happened to eat very lightly the day we came across Hubs, so we were able to finish all the food, but definitely don’t come on a full stomach! We know to plan to eat light if we’re gonna head to Hubs.

Overall, the food was fantastic and the service was good. A little pricey, about $40 for everything, but worth it. We will definitely be...

Where to begin. It's an incredibly comforting restaurant which consistently delivers honest to goodness home cooked meals.

Since coming here for the first time two years ago I have had the opportunity to eat here at least twice per week.

I have come for the food each time but the customer service, the quality of the ingredients and the price are such motivating factors in my decision.

Bill, whose set to take over for his incredibly welcoming father and mother is primed for success with his fine attention to detail and customer service. He has grown up watching his parents deliver consistently great food and the utmost in customer service, which has created an individual whose so in tune with his customers, it's as if your walking into your grandmother's home.

From the incredible Ribs, Grecian Chicken, lunch specials which feed two yet priced as one, Hub's will definitely become your soon to be home away from home.

They deliver and serve carryout on top of the inside service.

Come to Skokie and enjoy the ORIGINAL Hub's, you'll experience the food, the service and you'll be coming back for more.

Hope to see you soon...

Abe...
