Completely disorganized and unapologetic! This location doesn't appreciate its customers. I guess business is so good customer service has gone out the window!!! My family and I decided to make the 12 minute drive to Portillos since all other restaurants near us were either closed or soon to be closed. We went to this location thinking it would be a quick drive through order and we would be back home to watch a movie in no time. Unfortunately we were so wrong! We placed a quick order and were told to wait across from the first window since no one was behind us. After about 5 minutes we are told by a young man to pull forward to the first spot open. We have been to this location before but had never used the drive through. We pulled forward toward where the employee pointed and found a sign that said number 1 curb side and parked. We waited there another 7-8 minutes when we noticed one of the employees walk to a vehicle and then walk back with the bag. By that time there were atleast 10 cars waiting. We figured since she didn't go to any other vehicle she must have gotten there order wrong and that's why she took it back because she didn't go to any other vehicle. We continued to wait but noticed that at least 6 of the cars that had arrived after us had already received there food and left. By this time we had been waiting about 25 minutes. My husband left the car and spoke to one of the employees and was told that our food had been taken back in because they couldn't find us! I couldn't believe it!!! All that time sitting looking out our window just staring at them and no one ever bothered to check with us! We were given our food and told that we hadn't parked in the correct spot! They watched us pull forward and park!!! They never mentioned to just pull around the corner by the cones or we would have done that! The girl that came out with the food didn't even bother to look around. We spent $75 on food we weren't going to just leave without it! We were given melted chocolate shakes and cold food. I decided to go inside and speak to the manager because that wasn't exeptable. All the manager/supervisor did was make excuses for her employees and then another manager or supervisor appeared ( I am assuming because he never introduced himself) came along and told us to wait so they could make our food again. We ended up spending about 1 hour at this location waiting for food that was supposed to be a quick order/pickup. By the time we arrived home no one wanted to watch a movie and my husband had lost his appetite! Got home to find that the gravy container had leaked out onto the back seat of my car because there was no shrink wrap seal on the container. Not only did it leak out but it was completely unfrozen as well. I was not happy called the store 6 times...until I finally got some guy with a heavy Spanish accent who stated the manager had just left but he could help me. I explained my dissatisfaction and the situation and that it took me over 35 min of my personal time to get someone from Porillos to even pic up the call. I got hung up on twice and disconnected 3 times. The 6th call the Spanish guy finally picked up after all that he proceeded to tell me that it is impossible for the container to not be sealed. I told him that I honestly have better things to do on a Saturday evening then call for nonsense. Very dissatisfied with my purchase. I had to throw the container and who the hell wants Italian beef w/O the gravy...not to mention who sells an or gives a open product to a customer. This place has gone down hill immensely since the company was sold. Be careful and check your products carefully. Employees don't care anymore and neither does this company as a whole. Add to the fact that it's COVID... VERY DISAPPOINTED SERVICE. And while I was asking this so called assistant manager his name he hung up the phone. Not a class act either. Read moreHORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I been placing orders through UberEats at this Portillos location, and for 3 times in a row now they have always gotten my items wrong or items were missing. The worst part is that you can't even get ahold of anyone! If you call their number, they just ignore you. I've tried to reach out to them several times and they don't answer the phone, ever, regardless of what time of the day you call. This is the worst place I've ever dealt with, I will never go to portillos again. This restaurant is a selective scam operation, they obviously don't answer their calls because they don't wanna deal with the complaints they get. Any normal restaurant has a working phone number, only a scam restaurant would disable their phone and block all calls. I have called from different phone numbers as well, and still no answer. But if I call the portillos on West Addison Street or any other location, they answer the phone immediately. But here at Skokie? They have their phone line set to block all calls! Very shady restuarant, a complete scam operation!
I will be filing complaints with the BBB and filing a lawsuit in small claims court, as they have scammed me out of over $300 worth of orders.
