You would not call this place a restaurant. It’s definitely not a pancake house, more like pig house. There was many Mexican people who clearly had no idea how to behave at the restaurant. I’m not prejudice and have many Mexican friends who are very nice people but this was something different... One kid would keep whistling all the time until I’ve asked him to stop. I rarely do something like that but it was so disruptive that I just couldn’t stand it anymore. It was disrespectful to other people and his parents wouldn’t do anything laughing at it instead. There should be some basic manners how to behave yourself at the restaurant but those people had no idea that something like that exists. Waiter didn’t stop by to ask if we needed anything and we have not seen him until were ready to pay. They have brought us glasses of water with lipstick on it and when we showed this to other waiter he didn’t even bother to apologize or ask if he should bring clean glasses just took those with expression on his face “why are you showing me this? I don’t ware lipstick I’m a guy”. Then he would talk to people at the table next to us in spanish laughing about something. We understood enough to figure that they were talking about us. We haven’t finished our meals asked for a check and left. This used to be nice place, not anymore... And this is happening all over Chicago north suburbs and all over the country. Places getting filled with people who came from somewhere where there is no manners, no etiquette no respect for others and it’s getting worse and worse every year. They say that you should not bring monkey to the restaurant because next thing you’ll know it will be sitting in your plate playing with silverware making screaming noise demanding bananas. And they don’t want bananas or burritos anymore, they want European and American food. I’m not going to this place anymore...
Read moreWe came to visit Illinois to see family and decided to visit this IHOP it was practically empty which was weird since IHOP is like the most popular breakfast place we sat down and ordered our food I got the chocolate chocolate chip pancakes for 12$ which is slightly more then usual but no problem since the IHOP is deserted our food comes in 20 mins not bad but when I get my order it looks strange i assumed it was my cousins since he ordered normal pancakes with chocolate chips and cinnamon on top but the waiter says there mine however these are nothing like the chocolate pancakes I know back in Dallas the pancakes are supposed to be dark brown since there chocolate covered with chocolate chips on top and have lots of chocolate sauce however if you look at the photo there are no chocolate chips on too there's barely any whipped cream and there's a baby amount of chocolate sauce I waited for the waiter to come by and asked for more chocolate sauce she looks at me for a second and says she already put chocolate sauce on there even though there's barely any when she comes back she gives me a container that is barely filled barely any chocolate sauce in there at that point I just gave up i understand it might sound childish but if you have ever ordered chocolate pancakes you know how much there is...
Read moreWent for a "quick" Sunday "brunch" around 10am. Upon arrival, found the parking lot to be tiny- especially for Skokie. There were around 30 parking spots. My friend and I parked across the street in the Dollar Tree lot. The building is run down, but the dining room was surprisingly clean. Just don't go to the women's bathroom. The hall is not lit and creepy, and the bathroom is cold and dirty. Our waiter was friendly but not great. Food took forever to get to us, my friend had a hair in her eggs. He never came back to check so she had to wave over someone else, that I believe was the manager. Not that it was expected, but there was not a comp of any sorts on her meal. When our waiter came back (finally) we asked for separate checks (for the second time in our dining experience). He seemed flustered and said something along the lines of being "too busy to do that" and that he'd be back. He never came back, so we went to the check-out counter where he then informed us that they are unable to do separate checks (never had that issue at any other IHOP).
Overall, a disappointing experience. Unlikely to return. Unfortunate that the Glenview location is no...
