âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ âA great new spot in Skokie!â
I stopped by Sizzle on Oakton Street for the first time and was so impressed. The vibe inside is bright and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful with menu suggestions.
I tried the Sizzle Classic burger and it was absolutely delicious â juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the grilled onions and signature sauce really made it stand out. My friend had the Ghost Burger and couldnât stop raving about it. The seasoned fries were crispy and flavorful, and we loved that there were fun extras like boba drinks and soft-serve ice cream for dessert.
Everything tasted fresh and came out hot, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality. Itâs nice to see a spot in Skokie offering not just great burgers but also wings, chicken sandwiches, and drinks beyond the usual soda.
Iâm excited to go back and try more of the menu â this feels like itâs going to become one of my regular...

By then we went once again couple of weeks ago and it was really bad. Tasted straight up like ice water and the tapioca tasted like it was old and had been soaking in water for weeks.
We gave them them the benefit of doubt thinking it was an off day. We went again couple days ago and it still tasted bad. It was really good the first time we had it the week of the grand opening. Ever since itâs been horrible.
The chicken sandwich was solid every time weâve had it. No complains there.
Iâd hate to see sizzle just fall off like these other places that have similar menus. The biggest complaints I have about these halal joints is consistency. They do a good job when they open but then once they realize people are coming they stop caring about quality control. This...

The meat, on the other hand, didnât have much seasoning, and some parts were slightly undercooked. The single patty was quite thin compared to the bun, so I had to double them up. As for the classic beef burger, honestly, it wasnât quite up to the mark. The meat lacked flavor, and there were quite a few chewy, rubbery bits that I really didnât enjoy. They definitely need to work on seasoning the meat better. Also, when making the burger, it would help if they organized things a bit better instead of leaving it all messy. I found myself having to put the beef patty inside the bun because everything was just all...
