Drove here from 40 mins away to check out pastries because I got an ad from instagram about this new place.
Ordered a drink, sandwhich, and two pasteries.
The workers were very kind but pretty disorganized since there were many people.
The drink was okay, nothing new. $6 for a rose cardamon latte which isn’t bad, it’s an okay pricing.
Something that was a very huge turn off for me was the fact the workers making the drinks were actively wiping their nose and mouth with their hands and making drinks without washing their hands. Kinda very unsanitary… they were just pushing pumps of syrup and pouring drinks but seeing them wipe their nose while making people’s drinks was making me a bit uncomfortable. They had a sink behind them it’s not hard to wash hands… I’d rather have my drinks made with clean hands than having workers rush to make my drink with dirty hands.
When I got my pastries, the girl put them on the counter and while talking to me, she was talking into my pastries. Like her mouth was only 2 inches away from my pastries. As a germaphobe, this really made me uncomfortable…. I don’t want somebody’s saliva in my food, I’m not your family 😅
The sandwhich I ordered was okay. I expected more from an $11 sandwhich… the bread was so hard it takes at least 3 minutes to actively bite off a piece. It’s sour dough bread so it’s hard to chew. Idk why out of all breads sour dough is the choice… I wish there was an option for breads
Overall, the workers are very kind, the food and drinks are okay and the workers didn’t seem to care about sanitary practices. I hope this review can help them improve this because the store is beautiful and the pastries look amazing!
I’ll update the review after trying the pastries I ordered. Although I’m uncomfortable with how close the worker’s mouth was near my pastries, I paid like $10 for each so gotta try 😅
Update: up to 4 stars because the pastries are delicious!!
Great for people who like not so sweet pastries. Fits Asian tastes well! Will definitely buy pastries again later, the store seems to want to upgrade their sanitary practices as well which I am very glad! I hope next visit I can upgrade my review...
Read moreSweet Reserve has quickly become one of my absolute favorite cafés in town. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the vibe — warm lighting, a cozy yet modern layout, and that inviting smell of freshly brewed coffee and pastries that makes you want to stay awhile. It’s not so loud that you can’t relax or have a good conversation. The menu is excellent — plenty of creative coffee options, teas, and snacks that taste just as good as they look. My personal favorite is their Matcha Raspberry muffin and 5-Grain beet salad, but honestly, everything I’ve tried so far has been top-notch. You can tell they care about quality, from the beans they use to the presentation of every cup. What really makes Sweet Reserve stand out, though, is the service. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and it never feels forced. Special shoutout to Omar and Junaid — these two are an absolute highlight of the café. They’re not only quick and efficient at what they do, but they’ve got the kind of personalities that make you actually look forward to ordering. Both of them are ridiculously charming, friendly, and very welcoming. Between their sense of humor, their professionalism, and just their overall presence, they turn a regular coffee run into something you want to repeat. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the product and the people, but Sweet Reserve manages to do it perfectly. Whether you’re stopping by to grab a drink on the go, meeting friends for a catch-up, or just looking for a comfortable spot to relax, this place delivers every time. Omar and Junaid especially deserve recognition for making customers feel like more than just transactions — they really give Sweet Reserve that extra spark. Highly recommend checking this café out if you haven’t already. Once you go, you’ll get why people can’t stop raving about it — and you’ll probably find yourself becoming a regular...
Read moreWhere to begin...I was in the area with my mom and I have heard about this spot from some family so figured we'd stop by. All I can say is it was a complete waste of $41.
Black forest cake - overtly sweet, like the type of sweet that will have you nauseous for the rest of the day. Black Forest cake is my fave and I've tried it all from authentic German Black Forest cake, to standard grocery store versions. This one was the worst.
Pistachio Tres Leches - Still searching for the flavor in this one. Also dry...there was no leche, certainly not tres leches.
Kashmiri Chai - Had a really weird, artificial after taste, I can't put my finger on it but it was not good. I left half the chai in my cup because I could not get myself to finish it due to this nasty taste.
Chicken waldorf - I did not try it myself, my mom ate this one. But it came with a side of Jays cheddar crinkle chips so there's that.
Beef Turkish Bread - If you come here with a date and you don't like them, you can use the crust on this bread as a weapon against them. Seriously so hard that it's not edible in my opinion. The center portion was decent, basically ground beef pizza.
The ambience is that of a blank white warehouse, extra high ceiling with exposed pipes, everyones convos echo off the bare walls. Also no music playing so it was giving warehouse...
