Smash IT Burgers — Restaurant in Niles Township

I'm surprised with all the positive reviews. Maybe they got free meals in exchange? We'll for one this is an expensive burger shop. I have appreciation for halal places.

Not expensive halal places. First, they could do better with cleanliness in the small establishment. It was empty when we walked in and the 4 guys that work/own it were eating. The whole place is dirty and a mess. The bathrooms didn't have paper towels which is part of spreading cleanliness.

When we went there it seemed to be a male only customer basis. Tuesday night.

The burger was decent, unfortunately overcooked for a smash burger starting at $11. The edges were hard. Smash burgers need to be juicy and medium well. To order a combo meal with fries is between $5-6 extra. Instead of fountain drinks they have canned and if you choose a bottle or a bottle of water it's $1 extra.

So for $33 estimated plus they wanted a tip for burgers and fries and the place felt not clean.

Its disappointing that they served Pepsi products with being Muslim owned. There are other products of drinks that don't participate in genocide of Palestinians. If you're Halal, be all...

Some of the greatest food I've ever had. This food is halal, halal meat tends to be expensive but at Smash it burgers, it's affordable. If you come from 11am-5pm, you can order a meal with a burger, fries, and a canned drink for only $8! The food is amazing and these are the best fries I've ever had. I'm not Muslim so I've had all sorts of burgers and fries but Smash burger is my favorite and Go-to. The fries are always freshly made and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. It's amazingly seasoned and I do not exxagerate when I say that this restaurant is my favorite.

Service: Not nice but not mean, straight to the point and you get your food. I personally love that.

Although I will give a warning that the floors are fairly sticky and the restaurant is old and the bathroom is tiny and dirty but as a clean freak, it wasn't a big issue.

If you pay cash, you even get 10% off! That's like paying for your food with 1% tax!

Absolutely amazing food and...

Visited a few weeks ago. We got double patty. Yes it was small but I didn’t expect it to be bigger. For reference, I am a SALT burger fan and to me it closely resembled their burgers, in size as well as taste & assembly. It was satisfying and I would definitely go again.

The only note I’ll add, and I hope this doesn’t discourage anyone from trying out this new and welcome addition to the neighborhood, is that the smell that I sensed upon entering was not pleasant to the point that I considered ordering take away. I’m sure they’ve got some ventilator of sorts but maybe letting in actual air might be more helpful. If I had to guess, it seems like there’s too much humidity inside the building. I don’t know. It turned out my husband had no clue what I was talking about, so it could be that I am extra sensitive, or that to him what we were both smelling was not as repulsive and he would describe it differently. 🤷‍♀️ all in all, wishing this...
