Stopped by this morning, usually have a great experience but today a woman at the window at 730am 10.14.21 Received my order. 3-4 blocks down I noticed one of the drinks was missing sweet cream foam so I turned around not wanting to ruin my own day.
I pulled into the drive through and was greeted with the same customer service as always explained they didn’t add the foam to one of the 3 drinks, they offered to remake but as I pulled in I could hear them going back and forth about how “they definitely put it in” feeling like I was being called a liar I began to open the cups and show the lady at the window the order that one has sweet cream foam and the other that didn’t. She leaned out of the window and said “well take that” put her fingers on the lip/ top of the open cup and took the wrong drink.
I don’t come to Starbucks everyday to spend over $20 a day on coffee, expecting anything for free, however since Covid. I have become use to restaurants including Starbucks not allowing anything back inside for health reasons. She rudely asked for the expresso that was made wrong that I had obviously drank out of, didn’t apologize, and Stared at me with a “you can leave now” face.
Today was not my greatest experience and I will definitely be driving out of my way an extra 6mins to go to the beautiful location on 5211 w Touhy Ave location Still love Starbucks. People just need to be more considerate that everyone has things going on, I don’t want to deal with an attitude when I’m paying $20 bucks for a coffee. Read moreI recently went through this Starbucks drive through on my way to meet a friend, it was my first time visiting this Starbucks and I got my usual iced shaken espresso. I was having an off morning and decided to put my car in park at the window to pay for my coffee and get it from the wonderful worker, as I was going to leave my gear shift got caught in neutral. I was panicking as I was trying to fix it but no matter what I did it wouldn't leave the neutral position. At this point I was extremely embarrassed and didn't quite know what to do when the staff said they would come out and push me out of the drive through into a parking spot. Three of them came out in their green aprons and pushed my car from the window into a spot. At the time I was extremely panicked as my car was broken and embarrassed because of the events that had just played out but I am extremely thankful for the help I received. A worker then came out to check on me as I was phoning my mechanics and offered me coffee/water if I needed while I waited. Again I was a bit out of it due to my car breaking down but once I got my mechanic on the way and tried my shaken espresso it was also perfectly made! We use this place often and have been very happy with their service, but today, we were surprisingly met with bit of ignorance and unkindness. We had stacks of trays from Starbucks, and we had asked one of the worker if we were to bring back the trays, they would reuse it for the purpose of recycling. So we did today, but the workers were looking at us as if we were some odd people bringing back trays. Additionally, when we had kindly asked if they'd like to take the trays back, all the workers ganged up on us and unpleasantly responded with a short cold response "no". Then, when my wife went up to order, the worker was clearly hearing my wife but was asking her to repeat herself over and over again. The tones that was being used was as if we had committed some kind of a crime. All we wanted was to give back the trays for them after confirming that they'd gladly take back trays for the purpose of recycling and being environment friendly. I guess not.
