Read moreBeen here four times so here are the pros and cons of what I’ve had so far.
The staff is very friendly and the service is great. The place is very clean.
The crispy chicken zinger burger is huge but the chicken was over cooked and the burger sauce was meh. The hot sauce on the chicken burger would be better than the burger sauce. The hot sauce is amazing as well as the garlic sauce.
The peri fries were also huge in portion size and the seasoning is great but after eating half of the fries I was over the seasoning and wished they were just plain fries.
The peri chicken wrap like the sandwich and fries was big in portion size but like sandwich the chicken was over cooked and chewy. I was glad that they put the hot sauce in it instead of burger sauce because that hot sauce is great.
The veggie lunch special is an interesting menu item. Paneer and falafels in the same dish. The peri rice is amazing and has a great spice taste to it. The falafels are good but not pita inn falafels good. The paneer is paneer so it’s bland but they drizzle hot sauce over it. I just wish they would drizzle more sauce over it because did I mention that the hot sauce is great. The hummus it comes with is ok.
The peri chicken burger is good. The portion size wasn’t as big as the crispy zinger burger but the grilled chicken wasn’t as over cooked as the fried chicken items I’ve had previously. I’m glad it came with the hot sauce on it instead of the burger sauce because you know what…that hot sauce is amazing.
Even with the over cooked chicken that I’ve had I still will be going back to this place to try other items off menu. I’ve recommended this place to a few family members and they all like the spice levels of the peri sauces and agree the staff is friendly and the service is great. My cousin’s husband goes to this place 2-4 times a week after I told him...
Read moreMe and my wife were in Mt. Prospect, tried to find a Halal Burger Place close by and found this restaurant. The hours of operation are awesome, however the wait time to get your food was insane, half hour almost to get a Gyro Burger and Peri Peri Chicken Wrap. The place was insane busy at 10:30pm. We never ate here before and we're excited about the food. However upon arriving home and eating the food, a half hour later the problems started. First my wife vomited everything she ate and then also had the worst Bowel Movement ever. Then right after her I had the worst Bowel Movement ever. Now this review is the next morning, and I am up to 5 Poops, my wife is upto 4. Considering it was busy, they must have mixed the Chicken with the Beef causing Salmonella Poisoning or they are using Expired Products to cook their good. I don't like bashing a Muslim Zabiha Halal Restaurant but this is serious. If my poops don't stop, I am going to make a Complaint to the FDA to investigate this Restaurant and their Practices on how to prepare food without Cross Contamination. I will never be back again at this place and definitely recommend people to think twice before going. Wonder how many other people became sick that night after eating here. The date was 12/20/23, time 10:30pm. If you ate here during that time and are reading this review, please reply back. I can't believe how painful the situation has become with me and my wife and don't wish that upon anyone. Being Busy is great, but if you prepare Poisoning Food and serve it, that is not acceptable. I urge people to be CAUTIOUS, because you don't want to experience what I am...
