First time in Nisswa and we always ask the locals where to eat (everyone loves to talk food) :) When pizza was mentioned Rafferty's was the place to go. My other half is gluten free so it's always a struggle to find good GF crust. The young lady working the counter was great, took the time to show us which crust they use for GF pizza. Ordered a taco pizza and was nice to see chips on the pizza (a lost art). We really enjoyed the pizza. It's thinner than most so don't feel as guilty eating pizza and so stuffed once done. I'd certainly eat there again, the gluten free was spot on, wouldn't know it was GF if didn't order it ourselves. A+ coming from a couple of true foodies!! Now here's the funny part...had leftovers and once back to Grand View Lodge pizza box would not fit in little fridge, so with it being cool outside set it on the patio chair. Looked out a bit later and even squirrels can't resist Rafferty's Pizza! Let him have his fill of two full slices of taco pizza :)

Stopped for a meal on the way back home from camping up north. Ordered what seemed to be their specialty/named pizza with sausage, onions, peppers etc. The pizza was pretty good, despite my personal vendetta against thinner crusts. Service was friendly and we waited no more than 15 minutes, so the pizza came out hot and fresh. Table options included shaker parmesan and what seemed to be a mix of parmesan and lots of additional seasonings which was great to have as an option, tasted good as an add-on. There was one downside and that is...the whole place smelled strongly of vinegar. I don't know if this is typical or if it was just a spill but I was pretty uncomfortable with that. I'd order from them again but would probably just get take out.

While I'm not a huge fan of pizza, Rafferty's proved to be a breath of fresh air. We were recommended by our local host family to try it out and among the other similar options of burger and sandwiches, pizza seemed to be the most appetizing genre of meal... This place did not disappoint, we were super grateful that it offered fresh options, such as the super tasty summer berry salad (man we were craving veggies) and the vegetable supreme pizza. One unique topping of the pizza was the fresh scallions which I've never seen on pizzas. We liked it so much we decided to come for a second meal in this short trip.

We were excited to have Rafferty’s pizza tonight and normally go to the Crosslake location but unfortunately it was not up to normal standards. There was hardly any cheese on the pizza and it wasn’t even cooked long enough to melt it. I am pretty sure they didn’t even put whatever spices they usually put in the pizza. It was nothing more than underbaked bread, a ton of sauce and unmelted cheese. We also ordered the deal which added cheesebread. It had no spices at all on it not even garlic. Just bread and cheese with no real flavor. We are super disappointed as Rafferty’s is basically a staple of our diet. The only reason they got 2 stars versus 1 is because I know Rafferty’s potential but this order will have us going to the Crosslake location instead of Nisswa from now on....
