I have ordered delivery from this shop several times. The first delivery was perfect. But every time I ordered delivery after that, things went down hill. One time, I called and the woman who answered seemed distracted, laughing and talking to someone else while I spoke clearly and slowly to get my order. Once I was done, there was no reply. Just people talking in the background. I had to repeat my order all over again. In the end, I got what I ordered. This other time, I asked for delivery over the phone and got a man this time. The guy didn't know what he was doing. I repeated my card information a couple times to him after I asked for my order. He said the card kept declining. So I just told them never mind because obviously they are not entering my information correctly for a payment. Since delivery is only available for local businesses in the Nixa, MO area, I was able to run my debit card myself. There is nothing wrong with my card. It went through fine at my local business. So, the food here is great! But the service sucks. I'd rather not waste my time...
Read moreA great experience of kind customer service, and memorable great tasting sandwiches! Big Al's in Nixa has a great crew and everyone there seems to love their jobs and has a wonderful attitude. They take excellent care of customers. This small, unassuming place has a menu full of treats - varieties of sandwiches with delicious combos of meats and veggies. Menu has sandwich sizes labeled small 'kids', medium 'mama' and large 'papa'. All subs come on some of the most delicious FRESH-BAKED bread that tastes incredible! We enjoyed a 'mama' Slammy & a 'papa' Gobbler. My family has had the Dirty Bird & cheese-steak and loved those. All the subs were fantastic, fresh-tasting, and came within 5 or so minutes of our order. All the restaurant was clean as a whistle. All the staff was smiling, respectful and working hard. And all the food was wonderfully tasty. Big Al's is outstanding for sandwiches, and I can't wait to try their steak...
Read more2 stars because my sandwich tasted pretty good, and the bread it came on was phenomenal. Everything else was really bad, unfortunately.
The ordering arrangement is awkward. We had 2 people paying separately, so we ordered one after the other... But as soon as my boyfriend ordered the cashier went and started to prepare his food. So I waited for almost 5 minutes to order my food, just standing uncomfortably at the counter. I got a sandwich and a drink for $12, and was charged to use my card to pay. For $12 I expected a huge sandwich, but was served a smallish sandwich. My boyfriend ordered pizza which was less than mediocre and cost $15 for 4 slices.
There were containers of peppers sat on the counter top that they were charging for (seriously? So chincy), and flatware had to be requested. The experience just kinda sucked. Very...
