I have went to this establishment several times, it is by far my favorite place to go within 50 miles of where I live. (It's only 20 minutes away from me, but I'm making a point to how often and how much I choose to go.)
I go for the sushi, it's usually the only thing I order besides their fried rice and their ginger dressing salad. By the way, I love their fried rice, it's so flavorful. The salad is unlike anything else around, of course being Japanese style, but I've never heard someone say they didn't like it. If I dine in, I usually overhear someone else talking about the ginger dressing and how it tastes so good. I've tried some salmon rolls, salmon and tuna sashimi, and their salmon nigiri. (Sorry, salmon overload.. but it's my favorite hands down.)
My favorite dish so far is the nigiri, which I'm attaching a picture of. The sauce is perfect for salmon, and you don't need a lot.
I always leave satisfied, and when I arrive and when I drive away.. I am reminded by seeing their small gardens outside the restaurant where they grow vegetables and herbs. That's not a big deal to some people, but to me it means so much that they do it and really makes me appreciate their...
Read moreThe food here was excellent. I had never eaten here. But I am also not a sushi fan. There was other options on the menu . I ended up getting just eggroll and egg drop soup. I didn't feel I could judge the food by eating these items. So going to say my older son say it is excellent sushi. I was not impressed with the set up at all though. You order your food, they prepare it in a take out bag and then you can unwrap bags and sit at tables. This is NOT a restaurant to go to for dinner. This is basically a take out restaurant. Prices were high . I would suggest looking at menu online to order. Nice people, good food in plastic containers. I personally would not go back. For $32. For 2 people I want a sit down restaurant. Not to...
Read moreThe dinning area has been converted to a storage area. Was really disappointed they didn’t have live hibachi as the other locations did the last time I went to the one in my hometown. Ordered take out still and was only met with disappointment. The dumplings were burnt to hell. The teriyaki beef was borderline undercooked which they did not ask me if I wanted it rare. At the bottom of my meal was met with a swimming pool of oil. The vegetables weren’t steamed but fresh (which seems weird for stir fry) and rice hardly fried. My soup tasted like it was expired. I wasn’t expecting crazy fancy food but this does not even meet the bar of acceptable for a restaurant experience. Was expecting better from a know local franchise. Do...
