New Update: Bica hit it out of the park once again. Best side salad money can buy. I mean come on fresh veggies including olives!?!? That upgrade is definitely worth the cost. The fried chicken wrap was also delightful and left me wanting another. This is easily my favorite spot to eat in town. Update: much improved experience!!! Despite there being significantly more customers than my last visit, the staff was VERY attentive and friendly. The food was super tasty and fresh! The chocolate chip cookies were among the best I've ever tasted. The decor and location are still very attractive. So glad I tried this place again!!! ................................................. The location and decor are beautiful. I could spend all day in the shop. The service, however, left a bit to be desired. When I walked in, there were only 3 other people in the location. Two were waiting on their orders, and another sitting dining (basically empty - it was not busy at all). When I approached the counter, the server looked at me but did not acknowledge my presence. When I got closer, it was not until I greeted the server that I was met with a response. I had ordered ahead- so when I informed the server of who I was and what I ordered, she repeated the name of the item as if it were foreign to her. The food was ok, but it was a bit cold when I received it. I am not completely deterred as I think it was a one-off experience with a new/inexperienced worker. I think next time I will try a pastry.

I've visited Bica twice in the past week, and headed back soon! Originally went in to scout it out as I'd heard some chatter about a new cafe downtown. Walked away with half a dozen fresh made jumbo dinner/sandwich rolls, a sweetened Portuguese-style English muffin (called a bolo), a sticky honey nut bun, and some beautiful Danish pastry. The pictures don't lie...everything tasted just as good as it looks. Particularly appreciated the bread roll, though. It's hard to find good, fresh bread in the area! Both visits, the baristas were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the owner came out to answer some questions and chat about some of their other offerings. I'm looking forward to the sourdough boule in particular! The interior is very warm and inviting, with plenty of space for navigating and seating. Great place to take a load off after visiting some of the downtown shops, or as a change of scenery from the work-from-home setup. Overall, very exited to have another excellent food option downtown. We're starting to be spoiled for choice!

Why wait an hour to get in at Rosie’s? I love Rosie’s but I also value my free time. Come to Bica, grab an open table and have a great Portuguese inspired meal! True to our time in Lisbon, the assorted jellies are in small little glass jars. Other than not being able to order from your table (you order at the register), the service is friendly and fairly efficient (they seemed short staffed when we were there on a Sunday afternoon). The charm of the place is the fact that it’s in a lightly remodeled building in Downtown Noblesville that keeps some accents from 75 years(?) ago. The food and specialty coffee (and matcha) are delicious and generous (both my flat white and her matcha came in 20 oz mugs). I had the Bica breakfast (ham, 3 scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, with scratch sourdough) and she had the Portugueses hash with 2 eggs over easy. The “hash” has chickpeas, olives, onions, and belle pepper. It also came with fried potatoes. Oh and the pecan roll we split was so good! (so good we devoured it before we thought to take a pic 🤣).

My husband and I have been here twice in the past month. The first time there was one employee out front taking orders, preparing coffee orders, and running food to tables. She clearly looked overwhelmed. She was extremely kind and professional, but I felt bad for her. When she put my cup under the espresso machine half the espresso went in the cup and the other half missed and just went in the drain because she was so busy she didn't notice the placement of the cup. I didn't have the heart to tell her because she was running around like a mad woman. We went mid week at like 11am.

The second time we went on a Sunday morning, around 10am. Line was almost out the door. The girl at the register was taking orders and that seemed to be it. I'm not entirely sure she was keeping track of what pastries were being ordered as she wasn't grabbing them as they were ordered, hopefully she didn't run out? Another girl was preparing coffee and running food and seemed extremely overwhelmed. At one point she came out and said she had to close the kitchen because they needed to get caught up. The gentleman in front of me ordered one danish and I ordered two coffees and a danish. It took at least 10 minutes for him to just get his Danish (he didn't even request it be heated) and the girl making coffees had to ask me what I ordered because the tickets were all over.

The staff is always friendly and professional, and the coffee tastes okay and the Danishes are to die for. I just feel like there's a missed opportunity here to be great. I wanted to order food from the kitchen, but that wasn't an option due to how behind they were.

We will not be going back unless we hear that the staffing issue has been resolved which is...

Have lived in Noblesville for a while and decided to finally try this place out. While there were a few minor things I would tweak about our experience, we had a lovely time and did come during the Saturday brunch rush.

It’s a pretty laid back atmosphere— you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Would be totally appropriate to come here just for drinks and a pastry or to come for a full breakfast/lunch experience. It was a little loud, and the girl who took our order wasn’t the friendliest, but the other staff members were really pleasant.

Our specialty drinks were awesome. The butter cider was so unique; my husband pretty much chugged it, it was so good. Food was good— I would have changed a few minor things (waffle was slightly over cooked, I prefer my eggs runny when I order over-easy, etc.) but nothing that prevented me from enjoying the meal.

All in all, it was a pretty nice experience. I would definitely come back here. There are a lot of options in Noblesville and a lot of competition on the square— I’m glad this spot is here. More food than Noble Coffee with a solid, albeit small, coffee menu. Less chaotic than Rosie’s and more unique + upscale food than Rosie’s or Erika’s. Definitely worth visiting if you are a local to Noblesville.

Oh, and the decor is really pretty, especially the front porch!! The flowers and the tile on the floor are absolutely picturesque. There was a local artist present showing off his work. Also, there’s a small bar next to the register and it looked like they offer wine/coctails. You can order your food “for...
