I called in my lunch order shortly after it opened at 11: 30 a.m. and spoke with Lisa. I ordered a poki bowl. I gave her my order and did a special request of half salad and half rice. She told me they only have purple rice so I am sure she understood my order because I told her that half purple rice and half salad would be great. I was a bit surprised it was $18 when I went to pick it up, bit pricey. When I questioned her on the price because in the lunch special of sachime , salad, soup and rice it is $10+ she said the price is not on the menu?? Ohhhh well, maybe its delicious and worth it. When I arrived back at work their was no rice in my order. When I called to let Lisa know about the mistake she said she would double my rice next time, then made excuses about that item doesn't come with rice so I had to remind her we spoke about this before I placed the order. How she told me they would use purple rice. Then a few minutes later they called me from Crazy Brothers to tell me my order was ready?? I was very disappointed with the incorrect order which shouldn't have been a mistake since I called at a time that wasn't busy yet. They need to be more organized. Two mistakes with one customer. Not good. I will not...
Read moreNestled inconspicuously between a Starbucks and a donut shop, this unassuming place has so far been the most brilliant gold nugget for sushi within the Riverside/Corona area. While the atmosphere is VERY clean and organized, it's also very modernized with little in the way of visual personality (which would be my only criticism). The service was very attentive, with waitresses filtering back and forth to clear plates and refill drinks seamlessly through the meal.
The food was in a league of its own. While the purple rice is a beautiful touch of personality that pulls you away from the atmosphere and pulls you into the food, the taste and freshness just before a tuesday dinner rush was better than other sushi restaurant's I've eaten at as far out as Redlands.
I recommend taking my initial bias on atmosphere with a heavy grain of salt and try this place for yourself. It's an absolute mystery why Crazy Brothers Sushi isn't running out of space to seat customers throughout...
Read moreThis spot is in a very small shopping center so parking is not the highlight, just a forewarning. Beyond that, we arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and waited 20 minutes to be seated because it's really small inside. Our hostess was friendly and our server was great! The rice is purple, for every dish, but it's not anything that takes away from the meal, it's actually interesting and makes for pretty photo ops. Beside the pretty pictures, the food was fresh and it came out FAST!! Because it's small, it is loud inside, and you're really close to others, for me it's not a big deal but could be for others. I will return for more food!
Bottom Line: Moderately priced, fresh food with...
