What started as a curious visit to somewhat talked about breakfast diner in the neighborhood turned to not so great moment here. People most likely like to come here for nostalgia or atmosphere to sit in a old school horsetown style diner.
We were given a warm welcome, seated and orders were taken all in a timely manner. But that was the end of any positivity related to this place, the food came, was not fresh - as in most of the ingredients were semi-prepped/cooked before hand, frozen and recooked to order - Not uncommon for todays style, but there are certain procedures to store and recook the food to remove the staleness in the food - which I believe is not followed here. Food was flavorless, the sauces/salsas were ok and helped a bit - 2 stars.
Then followed the unorderly chaos of no response, no one checking o the table, no one bring in bills for 35 minutes as I sat there staring for eye contact with more than 8 waiters rushing through the sides of this small size dining room with 12 tables or or less, but no one knowing what they were doing, I walked to the counter, got my to-go boxes, as the neighboring table tried twice to get some one to get their orders. The next trip to the counter was to pay my bills and they asked me who was serving me, where I sat, what I ate (and I was like well after I got my food pretty much no one - because this question makes me feel non existent to the staff). 1 start for their service. The atmosphere is rural horsetown style, but that doesn't cover much for service. Not a...

While traveling for work, I decided to skip the typical hotel breakfast and search for something more satisfying that would last me until supper. I stumbled upon the Rodeo Cafe in Norco, CA, and it turned out to be a great find. I arrived around 10:15 AM, and the place was packed with locals, which is always a good sign. Despite the 30-minute wait, I was optimistic.
Definitely a friendly small town cafe feel and experience in a large metro area.
Once seated, I started with a cup of coffee, which was flavorful and just what I needed. The menu had plenty of options, but after a few minutes of deliberation, I decided on the country omelette, packed with ham, bacon, and sausage, all covered in gravy, along with a side of potatoes and a biscuit with more gravy.
The portion sizes were hugeâso much that I couldn't finish everything. The omelette was generously stuffed with meat, making it hearty and satisfying. The potatoes were cooked to perfectionâcrispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only minor drawback was that the gravy was a little bland, but Iâd rather have it that way than overly seasoned, and a bit of pepper did the trick.
Overall, Rodeo Cafe is a solid choice for breakfast, especially if you're looking for something that will keep you going all day. Highly...
Read moreI heard of Rodeo Cafe through friends and family. It was highly recommended! I was looking for a breakfast place because I wanted to take my fiance somewhere for his birthday to start off his day extra special. He loves horses and I think the western theme is very cute and fits the neighborhood that it is located in. Unfortunately, no horses this time around but there's always next time. Anyways, the breakfast was very good. I ordered the chilequiles verdes and my plate came with the chilequiles of course, homestyle potatoes, eggs, and beans. The chilequiles were perfectly spicy, and had flavor! It tasted like they used real, homemade chile verde. The beans were good and so was the egg, but the star of my plate was the potatoes. The potatoes were so good, very savory with crunchy bits of goodness. My fiance got a ribeye steak and eggs plate. He loved his food and how tender the steak was. We both got an order of biscuits and gravy as well, which were also good. I hate when the gravy is too salty, but this gravy was perfectly seasoned. We got coffee with our breakfast and I'm so pleased to say that our cups never went empty. âď¸ I'll be back if I'm ever in the neighborhood, it's a little far from me with traffic and everything but worth stopping by if...
