We came here on our trip to Atlanta. Prepared beforehand on where to eat, we were excited in trying some desi cuisine. We called and ordered the Chicken Biryani, and Bacon Cheeseburger with fries for sit in. The restaurant was located in a strip mall, among other stores and restaurants (another desi restaurant right next door).
Inside the restaurant, they had ample seating area with tables and chairs. Our food was ready on the counter, but got cold sitting on the counter as we took a bit longer than anticipated. We asked the guy to reheat the food. When we took our food to our table, we noticed there was no bacon in our burger. I went to the guy in the front, and told him we ordered a “Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries”, and our burger didn’t have any bacon in it. He immediately said “No”, you ordered a “ Karacheese Burger”. I told him I know what I ordered, because we’re from out of town and looked at the reviews on what’s good to order. He said he’ll add some bacon to our burger.
The burger was dripping from too much sauce. It didn’t have a desi twist, but tasted good. I really liked the Chicken Biryani, which was filled with boneless meat and ample rice-it was delicious. The mango lassi was served in a styrofoam cup, and tasted diluted-I’ve had better elsewhere.
Overall, the food was excellent for the price. We’ll definitely be returning another time during this trip, and next time we’re in town. Definitely recommended!
We went back another two times after our last review. The second time we ordered the Spicy Thai Burger with Fries, and the Mixed Karachi Grilled Kabob Platter. The Thai Burger initially had a spicy jolt that hits you, but as you eat more, you can taste the sweetness of the peanut sauce. So it has this sweet and spicy twist to it found in many Thai food. I’d thought it’d be more spicier. The Kabob platter comes with 1 beef and 2 kind of chicken kabobs (tandoori and mediterranean). It came with couple of pieces of pita (wish it was rice), chutney yogurt sauce, and onions and cucumbers. I didn’t think the Kabobs were flavorful, and didn’t like what came with the plate.
The third time we went, we got a New York Strip Steak with Fries, and to play it safe, the Chicken Biryani. The steak wasn’t great, as expected from a non-steakhouse desi restaurant. They should stick to making desi items, because Chicken Biryani...
Read moreMy family and I came here on Saturday, and we ordered fried chicken, lemon pepper wings, and the boti kabob. We expected it to taste amazing since we came here once before in March. This time it was absolutely horrible, for several reasons. For one, the whole restaurant was empty looking as if it was closed. The man at the counter was on his phone not acknowledging my family at all, like he was used to not getting customers. Once the food finally came out after about 20 minutes, it looks decently appetizing. When we dug in the boti kabob tasted okay, and the fried chicken was sort of good. Some pieces tasted fine, fully cooked through and freshly made. While on the other hand, some were uncooked, pink inside and tasted as if it were precooked days before, frozen, then microwaved once we ordered it. The worst part of the entire meal was the lemon pepper chicken wings, absolutely repulsive. My brother was beginning to eat one and noticed it tasted a bit off. The appearance of the wings when they came out looked really bland and gross. After eating about 2 wings, my brother let my Mother try one. She quickly noticed a taste of old chicken. It had tasted like it was cooked a week ago then frozen and microwaved, then given to us. The aftertaste of the chicken wings were one of the worst tastes in my life. I would highly recommend you DO NOT come to this "restaurant." The first step in the door to no other customers should've been a sign to us. Never...
Read moreI've been coming here for 15 years now. This was before there was even a dining area and they instead had a kid's play area with separate rooms to host parties. Yes, that's how long I've been coming here.
The quality in food has gone way down. The last few times I came here to order chicken for my family it was undercooked and unsafe to eat.
The cheese burgers are still decent but the fries are so inconsistent. Sometimes they're perfect and sometimes they're also undercooked and other times they hardly give you any when you order them.
The last time I came to eat the person taking my order (shorter young man with spiked black hair and wearing a T and cargo shorts) was very rude even though I was ordering the same thing I've been ordering for the past 15 years. He acted like he's never seen me or has taken my order before.
I will say people are probably overacting about the bathrooms. They've always looked like this and they aren't unclean, they just look old.
But the overall food and service has gone down. If something changes in the next few years I may be back but it's a huge shame that something I enjoyed as a child has...
