2022 Update: a little expensive.. Cost about $100 for a family-sized lumpia and pancit. The inside restaurant is still closed so you have to order over the phone and just pretty much guess the menu items. It was also very difficult to place an order and I felt the person answering the phone didn't have much patience. Food is still really good though gotta give stars there.
2017 original review: I liked it. My 6 year old daughter and I came here for takeout to bring home to the family; we ordered 50 Lumpia for $35 and a medium party tray of pancit for $25, which is pretty cheap. As this is the ONLY place in Norfolk to get Filipino food after 2:00pm, I really can't give this place too harsh of a review. That being said I do feel it necessary to mention a few things. There's no air conditioning, so they have their front door propped open, which is pretty common for Filipino restaurants in VA. I didn't sweat but at the same time some A/C would have been nice. And yes, the other reviewers are right, there are children sitting at the bar watching cartoons, but my daughter loved that! This place is very family friendly and the staff is really kind! I really want to see this place succeed, so I...
Read moreI came here once to try the lumpia u can only buy them by a dozen I got half pork half beef and lemme tell ya…. They were the BEST lumpia I’ve ever had in my existence… and mind u I’ve been a lumpia advocate damn near my my whole life (addicted to lumpia) so I know the difference… I would 10/10 recommend and fyi for those of u who are frustrated about the take out only and call to order… since Covid they haven’t gotten the chance to make a ton of money like most of us out here they can’t afford to do it rn they have to work harder than usual to keep the lights on and to keep the business open so I try to tip as much as I can when I go… I haven’t tried any of her other food but she’s super sweet and the price is reasonable and every time i’ve called during opening hours she answers and I order from there 2-4 times a week. Don’t be so quit to judge. P.S And it’s called lumpia house for a reason what more would u want on a menu other than that at a LUMPIA house… she’s nice enough to offer more...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in this place. the service was poor at best. They were out of several items. We ordered 2 kinds of lumpia but it was very similar to the lumpia you get in the frozen section of Sam's Club. We also had the chicken adobo, curry and house pancit. All were very bland and the potatoes were undercooked and crunchy in the curry. Portions were quite small especially for the price. The chicken in the adobo and curry was primarily skin and bones. It was nearly a $70 tab and we left hungry. Refills on drinks were very rare and even after the server came to the table and saw it was empty it didn't mean it was filled. We couldn't get enough plates or silverware for our table. The server seemed more aggravated to be waiting on us and appeared to be too busy...we were the only table and there were 2 people at the bar. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Huge...
