Previous review was 5 stars and "Fish and chips, pot roast all great food here."
Came back today and I really, really hate to give out low reviews but having provided a 5 star review earlier I have to update my review from today's lunch so I am honest with my readers. I really cannot recommend this restaurant anymore.
Fried asparagus was awesome for an appetizer. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our meal as everything following went downhill. But if you do go this is a good dish.
The schnitzel with the spaetzle side was a mix of disappointment. The spaetzle itself was well made. The sauce it was in was, unfortunately, off-putting. I don't know what the sauce is, but it doesn't work or taste good. Almost like the sauce is going rancid.
The schnitzel itself was over cooked, over breaded and inedible. I have never had such a hard piece of meat and how the kitchen expeditor decided to send that out to a paying customer? I don't know but they should have refired the plate and apologized for the extra time to get my meal out. When the kitchen doesn't care about the customer experience then that means there is a serious problem in the kitchen. Especially as we were in for lunch after 1:30pm so it wasn't like they were slammed with customers.
The falafel my wife had was okay but overcooked and dry. The potato chips were okay but not great.
The kicker to this luncheon disappointment was we asked our server for a piece of chocolate cake to go. Got home to open the bag and ... no chocolate cake. But we had our leftover asparagus and falafel. Since this was for my wife, I'm in the doghouse.
Again, I have to change my review because this was not worth $50+ for a lunch for two people plus tip. Kitchen seems to not care what they send out to a paying customer regardless of how overcooked/inedible the food was. This is a serious downgrade, and I have to so my readers know I'm not sending them somewhere they won't like with an outdated 5 star review.

Read moreAte lunch here with my wife and child today. Requested to sample two beers each before deciding on which to order. Four large samples came out to our surprise. We tasted each but refrained from drinking them because we were concerned about serving size. When we question our server (Chelsea) She informed us that it was a "beer flight" which we did not order, nor was it on the beer menu (blue listing) we viewed. She told us that it wouldn't be an issue and that she would simply inform her manager but to enjoy the samples anyway. Moments later her manager (Mo or Moe) came to the table and seemed accusatory. He stated that he heard there was some miscommunication and proceeded to reinform us of what we received. The way he spoke to us was a little odd and very loud. My wife felt embarrassed and immediately apologized for the mishap and inform him that we simply weren't aware of the menu item nor requested it. He told her that they do not do give samples there because it doesn't allow you to "fully" taste the beer however, I had just visited yesterday with several co-workers and we were able to order multiple samples which Is why I questioned the sample portion we received. He told her that he would comp it because it was her first time there. It should be noted that although Mo/Moe the manager made us feel uncomfortable, a little embarrassed and seemed to comp it as a favor in light of our ignorance rather than because of the mistake made on their behalf.... With that being said the food, beer and our waitress Chelsea was incredibly nice and did an excellent job serving us but unfortunately, our experience with Mo/Moe is enough reason...
Read moreThis place was located across the parking lot from my hotel so I walked over for an early dinner around 345. The pleasant hostess asked for my seating preference and I chose the bar. There was 1 couple sitting there about to finish their drinks and that was it. The bartender greeted me and handed me a menu as I ordered water to start. I decided on fish and chips and off he went. At 420, with no food in sight, I ordered a drink; which was delivered quickly. Finally, just before 430, my food arrived. Not sure why it took almost 35 minutes to deep-fry some fish and potato wedges and with a half-empty restaurant, but I digress...The breading on the fish was thin and airy, with almost a neutral taste. The tartar sauce had a nice twist though. And again the wedges were very standard-tasting but the dipping sauce provided was quite unique and tasty. The bartender said they just soak habaneros in vinegar overnight then serve the vinegar. I'm not a fan of either of those individually but together they were really good...Oh, and just FYI: the menu on their website is incorrect. The menu is a little different now. I only realized this because I went there prepared to order their wings and Egg Caesar Salad - neither were listed on their new menu... Overall I'd say this place is worth a shot. I suggest sitting somewhere other than the bar though, because there are only about 10 seats and it is not situated in a way that you can see anything at all. The mirrored wall is blocked by bottles, etc. and the only (small) TV is mounted way up high...
