First thing I noticed is lots of dirty, empty tables. Just a few patrons in the restaurant. We saddle up to the kiosk to order. Done. Were they about to clean the tables? No. I look for someone to ask. A few minutes later Im finally handed our cups- finally! Just one thing; as he hands them over- he's grasped them in such a way that each cup has either a finger or thumb of his inside... yikes! 'Well, your fingers were in these but..' he didn't react. Gone in a flash. I started to ask for clean cups.. but give up when I couldn't see anyone. I regret this. My order closer to being done, seeing number of empty dirty tables growing, I spot an employee & ask ' hey, can Iget a rag to wipe a table?' 'Absolutely! Hey, Bob- an alias-can you handle that?' 'Bob' disappears from my sight. 3-4 minutes pass... 'but what about Bob?' I think. Our foods now ready, we look for clean tables in vaine.. THEN.. Out comes 'Bob! wonderful, finally! 'Which table do you want to use?' he asks. Uh.. hard to pick between dirty tables... ok, I pick one. Bob (again not his name!) wets several disposable cloths.. proceeds to wipe that table. Slowly.. Now,you may have assumed he'd clean more - even all tables prior to heading behind the counter.. Well, I did too.. before I saw kindly 'Bob' in table wipe mode. I've never seen 1 table take so long. slowly. So, that makes sense. .only so much the day.. This may be frustrating- but PLEASE remember -this may be poor organization. Or lack of training. Poor task delegation. ALWAYS stay respectful. This isn't the first time I've seen dirty tables there. I hope some changes are made. Quickly. If I return it'll not be anytime soon.. keep me posted The*photos show how few were in there. And the...
Read moreIf I could give a zero star I would. A few nights back, a friend and I had came here later in the evening because we had not eaten dinner and thought Taco Bell sounded good. We ordered and the gentleman that took our order was very nice and got it right on the screen. When we received the order and paid $40, we checked the bag quickly and assumed our quesadilla’s were on the bottom of the bag, like usual. When we got home, to my surprise they weren’t there. We had ordered a crunch wrap and it was there. I quickly called Taco Bell and as usual they were kind to offer us to drive back and they will give us what was missing. This time, we had gotten to the window after explaining briefly and the night manager on duty was very unprofessional and rude. We had handed our bag back with the receipt and she looked and was convinced that my crunch wrap was a quesadilla and I had told her I had a few bites of it because I was hungry and it was not a quesadilla and was made correctly. She took the crunch wrap and I guess threw it away, it had a Doritos loco taco shell instead of the regular tostada. She provided us the bag with a couple of regular quesadilla’s, no added nacho cheese and an extra taco. I explained how she took my crunch wrap and it was right and never gave it back. I was explaining how it had a Doritos loco shell in the center and she closed the drive-thru window on me. She then gave me a normal crunch wrap and it was awful. If you want Taco Bell, please go to the one on Veteran’s, it is worth the...
Read moreThis used to be a good taco bell. I am a vegan and normally order tacos and burritos with black beans instesd of meat and no cheese. This used to not be an issue but within the last few months most of my orders have had bits of meat and cheese in them if I order in the evening, I can only assume they have been pre-making tacos and burritos and hastily tried to remove the cheese and meat and add the beans when I made my order.
When I order during the day I get a different problem, I often get my tacos for less than a 1/4 of the shell to have anything in it. Image below.
Credit where credit is due. If I do bring my food back and inform them that meat and/or cheese was left in my food they will replace it. But this shouldn't be happening almost everytime. And I know it's absolutely possible for them because they were able to do these orders correctly 90% of the time for the better part of a year.
I honestly think that A) they have adopted some new pre-made system in the busy evening hours and have people making haste rather then making a new taco when someone requests different ingredients, B) that they do not prepare enough black beans during the off hours, and C) that they are more willing to do hasty jobs and push subpar product to get the line going quickly.
This used to be my favorite fast food joint in Bloomington-Normal. I really hope they can go back to their old quality for...
