My daughter came into this business the other day and bought some vinegar as our family loves balsamic. She raved about how wonderful this shop was and how sweet the owner is. I did not think much about it. We buy balsamic vinegar everywhere we go trying new specialty ones. She gave me the vinegar and I put it on a shelf. Well the other day I used a little just so I could tell her how it was because she was so proud she found this place near her college and bought me some. When I say this is the best balsamic vinegar I have ever had I mean it. By far. It is almost sweet. We have already gone through a bottle and I am so excited to go check this place out when I come visit next week. Thank you to the owner for being so friendly to my daughter and her friend also. My mother in law who lives in Bloomington introduced me to the Olive Bin a few years ago and I loved it. Sampling the different oils and vinegars was surprisingly fun and got me to try things I never would have bought otherwise. Now almost every time my husband and I visit from St Louis I make a trip here to restock my favorite olive oils or to look for something new.

My 3 favorites are the spicy green baklouti chile, lemon, and basil olive oils. I cook with them all the time! Also love the espresso, fig, and blueberry basalmic vinegars, surprisingly over ice cream (the way they have you sample it) or just in a simple spinach salad.

Love the Olive Bin. Their staff is always really friendly and very helpful. If you check in online on Facebook they give you a free small bottle of their special of the month which I love because you can taste something you don’t know if you would necessarily use at home. They have great varieties of vinegar’s oil’s as well as other things. The best part is you can sample them before you buy them and they even hand out bread, ice cream etc. to sample it with. I always end up leaving with something new and have never been disappointed. The oils and vinegars also make great alternatives gifts for hard to buy for people or as an extra gift or two to bring along for someone you didn’t expect to be at the party.
