Timbers Grille — Restaurant in Normal

Excellent food. Excellent Coffee. It's a shame that they don't have good signage, but if I'm not mistaken that has something to do with ISU's rules. I fear that those rules are going to put Timbers out of business though considering that very few people actually know where it is tucked away in that blind spot, or that their prices are so good.

I encounter students and faculty constantly who assumed it fell through during COVID, had no idea that it is actually in Bone and operational because it's so hidden.

I mean, I like the fact that there are no lines at lunch time, means I can feel safe eating there during COVID, but it's not a good sign that there are so few there and so many everywhere else.

I want them to succeed.

So people, if you're seeing this, when you go to Bone, see Star Ginger, go toward and then past Star Ginger toward the big windows. Timbers is right around that corner, just where you can't see it from the main corridor.

And ISU, if you're the reason they don't have the signage in the main corridor (and you might not be, it could be on them), either get or permit some decent signage for them. Anything that goes in that space even if Timbers goes under is going to have the same problem with lack of visibility. That was a bit of a design flaw in the renovations that doesn't work in...

I’ve heard great things about this place… good burgers and shakes are a must have. I finally tried it out and was very let down. I ordered a strawberry milkshake, bbq burger, and fries. Normally strawberry shakes are red and when I finally got mine after an extended wait it was white. I was kinda confused but tried it and it had a very low flavor of strawberry. I finally get my burger after waiting again and the burger was very dry but the flavor was there. The fries were probably the best part, very well seasoned. I will be back to give them a second chance, maybe caught them...

Amazing. I have tried a few of the different burgers and sandwiches on the menu and it has been satisfying every time. The burgers have a soft but not chewy texture and subtle, but fresh flavor. The grilled chicken was also quite nice, especially with the toppings that they put on top. Service is nice as per usual with restaurants in the Bone Student Center.
