I arrived at the establishment promptly at 6:30 am on a Sunday, the stated opening time. Upon entering, I noticed both employees were present in the front area. Unfortunately, neither of them acknowledged my presence or offered a greeting. Although I was engaged in a phone conversation with my mother, I courteously placed my phone on hold and approached the register. It is worth noting that I did not observe any signage indicating a policy against using mobile devices while seeking service. As the employees continued their tasks, such as removing the strainer from the coffee maker and wiping the counters, they failed to make eye contact or engage in any form of communication with me. After several minutes of being disregarded, I decided to leave the establishment. However, I felt compelled to return and address the situation. I informed the employees that I was a visitor to the area and expressed my concern regarding their lack of customer service.
I stated It is unacceptable for customers to enter the establishment and not be greeted within a few seconds. The employee yelled you were on your phone . Some people don't want to be interrupted . The employee in question became agitated and discourteous when I requested that she moderate her tone. Furthermore, neither employee made eye contact with me, which would have indicated that I had ended my phone call. I will not patronize a business where the employees are rude. It costs nothing to be kind and respectful to customers. I found another coffee shop a few blocks away that provided excellent...
Read moreI experienced very rude workers at this coffee shop. I asked for a traditional cap in ceramic and 2 pour overs. The traditional cappuccino was served to me in a paper cup. I asked nicely to please put in a ceramic cup as ordered. The employee got very rude with me and reluctantly made one in a ceramic cup. I then noticed the other employee pouring water through the bleached filter, but reusing it for the pour over coffee. I asked her to use fresh water for the actual pour over like you are supposed to. She did not like that and got upset with me. The manager then came out and gave me a refund. The manager stated I was right about how to do a pour over. I will never go back to Coffee Hound after being a customer for 15 years. These employees ruined 😡 it for me!!! I am appalled 🤯 how the service has gone downhill. I will now go back to Peoria where they know how to serve their customers with a smile. Coffee ☕️ Hound better learn how to treat their customers. I am done and pissed!!! Word of mouth will hurt this place and I will make sure of it. Do not go here to buy coffee!!!! They must have gotten too big for...
Read moreFirst time visiting this location. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of seating. Popular spot and had a constant flow of people, but service was steady with the flow.
The staff was very friendly, Claire took the time to describe almost every bakery item to me. (I would recommend some sort of signage for the bakery items to save time)
I ordered a caramel/vanilla iced latte, holy cow was it smooth! Next time I would go a little less sweet, but great espresso! I had 2 pastries one that was sweet and creamy and omg so good I wanted to go order 8 more and then a savory one with sausage that I wish they would’ve recommended warm because I would not recommend that cold.
My husband ordered the cereal killer and it was very creamy and smooth. He ordered a Nutella pastry and said it was Fire, he did go...
