Year in and year out, the worst, the lousiest, the most ineffectual fast food drive-thru, certainly in Norman, OK, possibly in All of Creation.
I keep wanting to believe that i will enjoy a positive experience there, but i'm forever left wanting. Will they have forgotten the biscuits, or the gravy? Will the milkshake be only truly one third milkshake, and two thirds rock-hard ice cream? It's a given that the hamburger will be a soggy affair, but it's the constant failures of the drive-thru staff that irritate me so.
It isn't like i go there on a weekly basis, my sense of self-preservation keeps it down to about four or five attempts a year. (I think it speaks well of my sense of optimism that i keep trying, frankly, because the alternative is accepting that i'm irredeemably stupid for ever giving them even one more chance).
I like to think of myself as a friend to the working person, being one as well, and i'm a firm believer in a $15 minimum wage. The only person at this Braum's store worth 15 bucks an hour is whoever is cleaning the place after hours. It sure isn't the drive-thru crew, and no way in hell does the manager qualify either, being the person responsible for my lousy experiences, year after year.
Every time i fool myself into patronizing this store, i literally have to wrestle with my desire to take the offending sack of ill-prepared/poorly presented fast food tripe back into the store and heaping abuse on the staff until i have to be removed by law enforcement.
You'd be better served, and feel more satisfaction, eating a microwave burrito with a side of scratch-off lottery tickets from an Indian-owned convenience store. And they'll have a better command of the...
Read moreI have had many problems with this braums over the years. After this last time I will not be going back again. I asked the cashier what topping would be on my sandwich and she forgot to mention mayo, on a burger that shouldn't even have mayo to begin with, I get home and there is literally so much mayo on it that it is inedible. Even if I had wanted mayo this would have been disgusting. I call up and the gm says that I can come back to get my burger replaced. I come in and several of the employees immediately act like I'm lying. The GM had the good sense to replace my burger anyway. Turns out she was the one to take my order in the first place. When a GM of a restaurant is making mistakes like this you know it's not a good place. I've worked in the food industry for years now and have never worked somewhere that would still charge you for the food after messing up your order and making drive all the way back but they did. Also this place has that feel to it, like you can just tell it's not clean. I ate the burger, which wasn't very good, and went to pull some napkins out of the bag. Guess what I found? A giant hairball in the bottom of the bag. Disgusting....
Read moreMichaela ( hope I got her name right, the way it's spelled is not the norm, but I know it started with an M) short with short blondish silver hair in a small ponytail. We came in and she took our order. Normally I have to ask for more Reece's on the side because I usually get almost none in my order. I got to watch her make mine and she made sure I had Reece's and she still gave me a cup on the side. 8 had not even told her that I usually don't get near enough Reece's in my drink. She was quick, personable, sweet and did great with our drinks while also helping someone on the register. Thank you, please let her know that this review was made for her just doing her job and bring good at it. We placed our order at about 5:30 or shortly before, today. Hopefully you pass this on to her. As a Norman native that is visiting home for the...
