Taco Mayo — Restaurant in Norman

Taco Mayo has been one of my favorite places for TexMex fast food since the late 80's. Not astoundingly good compared to a sit-down full service Mexican restaurant certainly, but consistently good for over 30 years in my experience. I appreciate that most of the food is prepared on site and they use a lot of fresh ingredients. I can look at my plate and identify each thing and not wonder what it is or what lab it came from.

Nachos are a real treat here because they serve up a good portion and not some sad little cup of petrochemical cheese sauce with a handful of broken chips. Their masterpiece nachos can be an actual meal into themselves. The "locos" are another unexpected item. Fresh Homemade tortillas, salsa, chips, guac etc.... An Oklahoma business I enjoy supporting. Look at your receipt and you will see this is actually the First store! Store #1 (May have retained that title after moving from current star$ucks across from Norman High though.) Portions are normal size which can be dissapointing after getting hooked up at Taco Casa! lol Support MIO products and businesses. This is truly the little guy taking on the heavyweights with unlimited advertising budgets and cut rate prices. Mayo keeps turning a profit and that speaks volumes as to their quality and consistency. They have an amazing deal on fresh Guac.5 Oz for 2.99. Unbeatable and fresh. ordered $26 in this store. I asked specifically for fresh locos, the locos that we receive were old and double dipped extra dark and chewy, tasted like yesterday's locos, the grilled burrito had almost no meat or anything else except rice. I called to have the order replaced or the money back the manager Devon only made excuses for why he thought the food was old instead of taking accountability and he did nothing to help or resolve the situation and only wanted blame me for terrible food that they were serving to paying customers.
