Happy Family — Restaurant in Norman

Im so unhappy with this restaurant at the moment. We go there all the time never had a problem untill today. Ordered well over 50 worth of food as always since we have a large family. When i asked for hot musturd and strips like always, the white older dirty looking gentleman ive never seen before said i have to charge you 3$ which is okay but i was like oh she has never charged me before. he rudely replied "well thats how you run a business". Then he persisted to tell me that he could put it on my card after I told him nevermind. After being frustrated I just took my order to the car and then my husband went and he told my husband that he had already put the strips inside of the bag and my husband said he would go check the bag. After checking the bag there were no strips. Now upset that he just got lied to we went back inside store to tell them that there were no strips or hot mustard so we went back in. Then when i asked him if he was the manger.he said in the rudest way "do i look like the manger ?" And then said can I talk to the manager and all he kept saying was why and laughing like it was a game to him . At that point after all the rudeness I was frustrated and Furious. We just left. I wont be going back until they get better service. I cannot believe we can run the business like that with him there . Older lady that had that usually takes my order with the children just showed up right after we were walking out the door. Got to the car to check everything food was wrong too an order was messed up. And I was not going back in there. Just sad never had this much trouble ever here and there food is always then been great up to this point.

Edit: after seeing your respond to saying that my comment was false you have now lost or business and we will be telling our friends and family not to come to you I can't believe this is how you handle something that happens in store by telling people that it is a false comment and that you are going to show Google the video I hope you do because then we will all know what a fraud you are being as it is I have my receipt and I have my husband my friend and my children all...

Visiting my daughter so I decided to try some local Chinese while she was at work. I called in my order. The lady was nice but never asked my name or number. Just said "ok bye" then hung up. I left to go pick it up immediately after hanging up and I'm only 5 mins away. The place is very small with a couple tables. There was 1 guy eating in there.

The food was ready and waiting when I got there . It was placed in a box lid for me to carry out.

I got the lunch portion of general tso with rice. Menu said it was with white rice, but the rice was orange. 2 pieces of tough broccoli. It was flavorless and seemed like it had been sitting out since they opened. I ordered at 11:45 am. I took 2 bites and tossed it.

I opted for the egg drop soup which was verrrrry hot in temperature. It actually tasted good until I saw the long black hair. 🤢 I called and told the lady and she offered me a free soup on my next visit. I don't live in Oklahoma and told her that. She didn't offer a refund.

The crab Rangoon was good but greasy. I still ate them and they tasted good. The eggroll was room temperature and bland. Ate half then tossed.

I also got a small chicken fried rice. The rice was orange and the chicken had a weird texture. It was flavorless. Took 1 bite and tossed it.

The only redeeming items were the chicken sticks. It comes with 5. I ate two and saved the rest for later.

My order cost $22 and I tipped $5 when I picked it up without tasting any of the food. Had I know how bad the food was I definitely would not have tipped.

Based on this order I would not return. * the pic of the soup is before I found the hair. After I saw that I immediate dumped it without a pic of the hair. I also added black pepper. It does not come with pepper.

Edit... We ordered food last week, and it was all bad. Wontons empty of any filling, chicken on a stick tasted odd, the meat was undercooked, and the sweet and sour chicken, and everything else fried was definitely cooked in old oil. It's steadily gotten absolutely mediocre to bad the last few years, and the last 6-12 months has gotten really bad. Sad, because I've been coming here since I moved to Norman over a decade ago. I don't know if they just don't care, or what is happening, but if this is how it's going to be maybe, it's time to move into another business, as food is not your forte any longer. I can deal with garbage customer service, rudeness, and just all around lack of friendliness, but when the one thing you used to do well has fallen to this level it's time to give it up. I kept coming back because I get sometimes businesses go through change, but you should strive to change for the better. Norman has zero good Chinese food restaurants now.

Best Chinese food in town, and I've tried them all. Super fast, prices are right, and food quality is superb when the guy is cooking. For some reason when the woman cooks the food has far less flavor, and the portions are 90/10 vegetable to meat. Also, the dining area needs to be cleaned thoroughly, and the lady needs to give you an estimate on time, and be friendlier. Also, stay off her phone while cooking and waiting...
